To be happy. To help make the people I love happy. To increase the happiness and well-being of all living beings, and not to decrease them, as much as it's in my power to do so.

To find out who I am, really am. I've lived all this time and am finding out that I'm not who I thought and felt I was

that happens sometimes. and it's okay if it happens a couple of times. none of us are the people we were at 18. at least, i would hope that i'm not. and i doubt that i'll be the person i am now when i'm 60.

Yup, it is tricky..but I truly believe it's the key to being happy. And if WE aren't happy ourselves, how can we possibly bring happiness to the world?

I found out 18 years ago my life's purpose was my angel, my daughter. I have been labeled a mother for all these years and soon she will be graduating high school and going off to college to become a doctor. Once she is gone and I'm going to have to re-invent and find myself and I have to say this is going to be the biggest challenge of my life.

I agree, both that living in the moment is tricky and that it's a key to happiness, both our own and the happiness of others.

I think a lot of people confuse being IN the moment with living only FOR the moment. What being in the moment really means is being fully aware and focused on where you are now and what you're doing now.

Remembering the past and planning for the future are vital — but you can do those things AND be fully present in the here and now while you're doing them. Takes practice, but oh so worth it.

my fist thought was that I had no idea, but I think I do. My purpose is to provide myself the best quality of life that I'm capable of.

My life's purpose is to experience as much as possible and grow as a being so that when I die and transcend I will have many tales to relate to my Goddess about the experience of being incarnate. Whew! That's deep, no?

It is a challenge and you will always be her mommy!! I went through this a few years ago and she moved 4 states away!! But--she always needs her mom to talk to, for advice and just to be friends with. The friendship without all the boundaries of teaching is the most rewarding purpose I have had!! Now I can just relax, trust she learned the lessons I tried to teach her and just be a friend with the wonderful person she is!!
