What has been the worst gift you have ever received, who was it from, and what did you do with it?

My ex's mom bought me some clothes that looked like someone in their 40s or 50s would wear maybe in their 60s no offense to anyone with that comment. I was 20yrs old I wore stylish stuff not something my grandma would wear, I took it all back an got gift cards for things I would wear or use.

Well it's the thought that counts, but our neighbor (we lived in a duplex house that had been made into two apartments, she lived below us) got me a gift card to a store she knows I can't really shop at (they don't carry my size).
I lucked out by finding a pair of decently cute shoes on sale and in my size though so that didn't wind up too bad. =3

Besides, it was sweet of her to even get me a gift in the first place, all I was to her was a neighbor and the babysitter of her two boys.

When I was in recovery for my eating disorder, a relative of mine gave me a scale. It was pretty offensive, especially since I was struggling so badly at that point and this relative knew that.

For me, i got a pair of size 4 petite pants like 2 months after 2nd child was born. i am size 7 lol idk how i will fit in those

Technically, it was a gift for my newborn. Her sperm donor's family gave me some clothes...they had poop stains on them.

When I was 13, and had just started my struggle with bulimia, my stepmother gave me a present to open in front of the entire family. A pack of XXXL panties. She told me I'd grow into them soon at the rate I was going.

I was 5'5'' and 130 lbs at the time, and was a weight lifter.

There's literally no way to find a statement and gift like that encouraging (or thoughtful...or even nice), to be honest it comes off a little bitchy.

My hubby got me a massage table one year for Christmas so I could give him massages. Great idea but I told him he has to give me one first on it. He refuses and it still sits in the same spot in the closet never used.

It started the family tradition of someone crying on Christmas. There are pictures of that family Christmas, taken after presents, and in each one, I look about two seconds away from tears, and am edging away from the rest of my family.
