I will not sell my dirt bike! I will beg money for gas and premix. Why? It keeps me grounded and mentally sane. It diminishes my anger, frustration and fears.
What is the ONE luxury you will not ever sacrifice? Why?

Indoor plumbing! There are so many people I know who do not have it. I will never do without that! Lots of places in Alaska don't.
A true must have luxury for me is my daily espresso! My husband's kitchen is superb! Our espresso maker is fantastic; now, if only my husband would make it for me everyday (his always tastes better than mine ), I'd be in Heaven!

It's a sad day in the economy in which we consider utilities to be a luxury and not a necessity for health and life. :-/

Hot showers. Not even necessarily every day---I'm down with extended camping trips---but if you were to tell me I was to never have a hot shower again I'd be inconsolable.

Haha, yeah. I don't know, plenty of folks in the world have to make do without hot showers---whether occupationally or as a result of local conditions (like Redboxbaby mentioned, in inland Alaska).

Whether or not it's a necessity or a luxury, Clean water to drink goes 1st in my books. I couldn't do without my toilet or tissue for that matter! Hot showers are a must as well!
So many of us take for granted what others would love to have! We have so much to be thankful for.

I HAVE to sleep in during the weekends, unless you want the psycho bitch from hell. I need to sleep a LOT to function.
Material wise, I need my computer to keep me sane. I can watch shows, write on Word, play games, etc.

I only picked electricity because the day before that I had no power the whole day. Also my power has gone out 4times in on year at the house. Due to weather and tech issues. When there is no power I have no TV, no computer, no heat, and etc. That is why I can not live without it.

For me I would DIE without my PDA.. It's my life-line, my internet, my phone, my facebook, my way of life. If I lose my phone my world shuts down!!!
Oh & a good Joint to ease my mind lol :-p

This is sad - but sweet cream in my coffee. I won't die without it and sometimes I have to have coffee without it cause we just ran out.
But it is the one thing my husband tries to make sure I have all the time (well...along with all the sex lately!)

BOOKS. Whether online or in good-old-fashioned dead tree editions (or a Kindle, how I miss my Kindle so) I just plain need to read stories or I start going crazier than usual.
Of course, it's easy for me to read too much all the time and stop paying attention to the rest of life . . . sometimes being without books for a little while helps me wake up, look around the house and start being productive again, but mostly a day without reading is a day that's restless and cranky . . . >.>

Agreed - clean water is number one, but I don't think it should be a luxury. Everyone should have access to clean water.
