What is the longest distance you would travel/have traveled for a loved one? I have traveled about 1k miles for a loved one before, and would do it again in a heart beat.

The traveling part is no problem, I don't mind traveling for family and friends. It's the "affording to travel" part that bitches it all up.

750 miles one way.
The first time I did it, it was after working an 8 hour shift and I didn't get to stop to pee (because nowhere was open inside).
After driving it a couple times, I decided I'd just save up the extra $50 and take a plane.

For the loved ones? I would travel any distance.

Yeah, that. I'd drop everything and drive to help out a family member right now, it's just being able to afford making the journey.

I have traveled 550 miles for my boyfriend and my family. I would travel farther if I had to.

I drove 6.5 hours one way regularly every other weekend to see my guy about last year.

3,358 miles, because that's how far away she is right now.
Affording it would be fucking nice, thank you. -punts airfare-

I've traveled across the pond for family. For a lover, I've traveled 1800 miles.

I travel from California to West Virginia...

I would travel to the ends of the Earth for the people I love.

Big Sky country!

There isn't a distance that's too far. As someone mentioned upthread sometimes the economics make it difficult, but not the distance.

think it was about 5000 miles one way.

For love, I would probably hitchhike the distance of the world. It's pretty cheesy. Honestly, I would love to travel to see a loved one, but it's the "is this affordable right now?" that seems to affect my ability to do so.

I would travel to another planet for my fiancee.

I've flown a lot more than 3,000 miles! I have family in far off places, and though it's expensive to visit, we always try and manage to do it every 2-3 years. Talking on the phone just isn't the same.

Exactly! I would travel across the world for someone I love, but I generally can't afford it, which really sucks. I have traveled across the country, and even to other countries, but it took a lot of planning and a lot of saving.

I haven't travelled far - yet - but I plan to move from the UK to Australia, at some point. So quite far.

Some things are worth a 10 hour plane trip.
