I just noticed I was up to 7.1 and was shocked! I usually do not pay much attention to the ranking since I hit the 5.0 rank. I am not sure how it climbed up there so fast but am very proud to hit the 7+ mark. Anyone else like this or am I just strange?
What does your site ranking number mean to you?

I keep track, if for no other reason, it means i can select more expensive items for free reviews.

It's not odd to feel proud of moving up the ranks! I haven't been doing much reviewing lately since I hit a writer's block, but I do understand your excitement.

Congratulations!
I feel an odd sense of pride every time my rank increases as well, it's awesome to know I'm doing a good job!

It is kind of exciting when you notice your rank has gone up. It doesn't really mean anything, or allow you to do anything special (aside from affecting the cost of assignments you can get), but it still feels good! Kind of like when you were in school and brought home a good report card.
11/24/2011
I like seeing it increase because it means that people like what I'm doing!

Mine dropped by .1 recently. It made me inexplicably sad, but it just means I need to try harder. One of my last reviews wasn't very good, and it was a sponsored one too.
Regardless, it doesn't mean a great deal to me, but I will agree with the report card comment. It's like getting a good grade because you did something well.

Mine has been stuck at 6.1 and honestly, it's because I haven't been writing reviews lately. I'm finally getting back into the flow of things though, so hopefully my ranking can pick up a bit.
11/24/2011
I don't care much for my ranking. It wouldn't bother me at all if it disappeared, but because it is there, I tend to notice it from time to time.
I use to be more obsessed with it, but once ya get into the 7.0 range it creeps up mega slow and I lost interest...lol.

I check mine. I was really proud once I got above 6.0. I feel like I work really hard at my reviews and everything and that, hopefully, my ranking will show that.
11/24/2011
I check mine, but it hasn't moved in a long while and it's because I'm slow at review-writing. I usually do one a month which isn't quite enough activity to keep the numbers moving upwards. I'm okay with being stable where I'm at, for now.
11/24/2011
I've been checking it crazy often lately because I am stuck at 4.9, and the proofreading program requires a rank of 5. Tempting to cave and do a buyout assignment.
11/24/2011
I don't check it, but I get really excited when I notice it's gone up!
11/25/2011
I totally remember being excited with every bench mark.

I'm still new here, but ranking means two things to me right now. It means how well I am doing on my review, and what price bracket I can get things from once I am an advanced reviewer.

OK ladies, I just had to add my two cents here! It’s NOT the QUANTITY that counts, but the QUALITY! As a new EF community member myself I came to EF when my local Babeland Store lacked a wide selection of affordable sex toys. I am now hooked; satisfied not only by the superb customer service reps, but also the candid and valuable input of the EF community. Yes, I believe a report card is an accomplishment to be proud of, but I also think that what is more valuable is the sharing of informative input on a wide range of products. It’s like standing in a department store shopping for someone and as you happen to stand next to a beautiful woman who is not sure which product to choose, I would always offer my recommendation. As I attempt to grow and offer my own Reviews, I don’t believe I will make much to do about rankings; but I will off my KUDOS to those who do.

you have a point, im at 5.5 and i thought only yesterday i was at 5.1
im excited as i grow because it means i've contributed a lot to this place

I don't have a number, and I don't know how to get one, either, but I wouldn't be particularly bothered by it.
11/25/2011
I remember always being excited to move up at all, and always being a little sad when it slipped, but I haven't put much thought into it than that since I reached the ranking that maxed out what I could request for assignments.
11/25/2011
I mostly was concerned when I first started and wanted to get to 6.0 to participate in the assigned video review program. Since then, I look at it but I don't worry so much anymore. Actually, mostly what I've noticed is how it doesn't move anymore.
11/25/2011
It does move more slowly as you go up. I've been stuck at 7 for ages. I went bouncing back and forth between 6.9 and 7 for weeks, and it's been at 7 for over a month.
I was not only busy with my new job and had little time to do reviews, but I had to return something twice (it simply didn't fit in any size) but I just got two DRs. Those sometimes take weeks to go live, so I'll have to get some reviews in next week. BUT, my new Stephen King book came UPS this morning....

I like to keep track of it. I get ridiculously happy when I go up in rank.
11/25/2011
I usually don't pay much attention, but mine increased by .5 in the last few weeks o_0
11/25/2011
Wow! That is pretty high! I've worked very hard just to get to 5.5 and I can't seem to move forward more!
11/25/2011
I kept track like a hawk until I made it to the point where I could be a mentor. Once I got my mentorship application in and approved, I mostly stopped looking at it. I'm surprised to see how high it's climbed!
11/25/2011
I have not even looked, not that important to me.
11/26/2011
I don't keep track of it.
11/27/2011
I swear I check it everyday....lol. Especially after I do some reviews. When they are really good, my rating climbs up a few tenths of a point, and it's nice. I'm at 5.4 now, and I'm trying to get to 6 so I can be a mentor!

Not so much... I look at it and grin if it goes up but I don't participate to watch it go up.
It is like votes on a review. I only pay attention to figure out the quality of my review. It doesn't concern me the number of people who vote.
