What does your room look like?

Contributor: Wicked Wahine Wicked Wahine
At the moment, my bedroom looks like a bomb went off! I received all at once, several packages I ordered & then my mother gave me big bags of old clothes to give to charity, (I go through them first to see if there's anything I'd like to keep). Then I have all the EF toys in their shipping boxes in the corner because I have yet to figure out where & how to store them. I am naturally a tidy person, but with everything that has happened to me lately, I have let it slide. I can barely sleep for the mess, but I'm too exhausted to start an hours long project!

Well, that's my room, how about yours? It can be whatever room you want. I just thought this was an offbeat question & I'm in a weird mood.

I just moved back to my parents' house the end of November and sorta unpacked the first week of Feb. I settled it in a bit, but just started packing stuff up for a move the weekend of the 25th.

I also found out that I'll be like 2 blocks from a long time contributor on the site. So, that'll be fun!

The moving reference was my tip off about your impending departure. I hope you like your new digs!

Apparently not, because I saw you mention in another discussion about your parents discovering your toys! What a nightmare that could have been, good thing they were cool about it!

Mine looks like a war zone. There are clothes, books and papers all over the perimeter of the room. There are also some shopping bags on the floor because I just came back from the supermarket and can't be bothered to unpack. Yes, I am a pig.

Mine too looks like a war zone or a tornado hit it. This weekend though, I plan on changing it and reorganizing it.

Well, our bedroom is a bit of a mess at the moment. I put laundry away last night, and the basket is still in the middle of the floor. The hamper needs to be emptied. We had TERRIBLE storms in the Chicago area yesterday, with a lot of flooding. We were told not to do laundry or run our dishwashers, as it would just add more water to the mix. (The laundry had been washed and dried the day before, I just got around to putting it away last night.)

I have a smaller basket of odds and ends that I need to take care of. Odd socks, sweaters or hoodies I've worn, a rice sock, library books, and an envelope full of packaged sterile 30 cc feeding syringes to be put into my house call bag.

We have a Queen size water bed, I have a small nightstand next to the bed, that has some toys and books under it, my clock, pillow spray, hand cream, that kind of girl stuff. Then my mirrored sliding door closet is next to that. Next to that is the little foyer with a door to our bathroom. Then the east wall, the door to the hall, hamper, My Man's closet (with a broken door on it) the south wall has a decorative mirror, a nightstand with an old TV and DVD player and cable box on it, next to a small nightstand that I use for my nail polish, hair stuff and my lap top. South wall has an old La Z Boy chair, covered with an old quilt and a Liberator Throe, my dresser with mirror and our bed. It really needs to be cleaned up, my husband just throws his clothes on the floor or next to the hamper and we have several gallon bottles for drinking water on the floor in front of the dresser.

*Whew*

The bedroom is really her room. Aside from the bed and the TV, the only thing I own in that room is my alarm clock. I have a large room for my office though, and all my stuff is in there.

It's nothing fancy, but I built all the tables, desks, and shelves in the room. It's very clean and organized. I have wrestling, comic book and metal posters all over the walls. The room also includes one comfy living room chair, a projector facing a white wall, a small fridge and about 40 guitars. Also worth noting, each of our cats has their own little windowsill lounge - complete with a cat bed, water bowl and snack bowl.

Ours is a mess at the moment.

We have clean clothing on the floor (because I got way too lazy last night to put it away) the bed is in the middle with two dressers at the end and a side table on his side.

We have a small bedroom with everything in there. There's literally only walking space.

We have a six bedroom house. It's my wife, my son who is disabled, and lasty me. I have a couple of rooms I will drift to depending on my mood and sleep pattern. Each is neat and orderly. The room I usually fall asleep in is our entertainment room.

Our bedroom for the most part is pretty tidy, we try to keep it that way because it's on the small side.

I didn't know you had cats! I know this might come as a surprise, but I cats. It's true!

Anyone who has individual windowsill lounges for each cat, with sleeping & eating space on each, is one damned fine cat owner! Did you build those as well? I am beyond impressed!

As for the bedroom, happy wife = happy life! Besides, having your office hold all your treasures, keeps her from messing with them! You know, the "Honey, don't you think 1 guitar is plenty? Can't we put the rest in storage?" or "I had to take your metal posters down because they just don't go with the 'Romantic Oasis' theme I wanted. Oh, sorry, I might have inadvertently ripped a few while I was re-decorating."

A moderately messy dorm room (so: lots of books, lots of posters hung up somewhat badly, shelf of cheap food, twin XL bed). I do have beanbag chairs! And a nice rug.

Lol, me too. I received about 3 EF packages in the past 2-ish weeks plus I did laundry twice (but didn't fold it...) It's getting to that time of year where I start thinking in terms of 'after finals, I'll do x, y and z' even though that's a month away.

After finals, I'll clean my room...

My room consists of a little nook with my clothes and laptop and a twin air mattress behind my grandmothers couch.

Don't want to brag, but our bedroom is always very tidy, probably because it's upstairs and we don't spend much time in it during the day.
