What do you hate about shoveling snow?

Contributor: spiced spiced
Well, with "Winter Storm Nemo", we finally had enough snow to require shoveling this winter. I actually had a good time. Several of my neighbors were out. Only one of them was in a bad mood; his snowblower wouldn't start and he was NOT enjoying having to wield a shovel!

How about you? What, if anything, do you dislike about shoveling snow?

Nothing! I think it's awesome.

It's hard work!

That nasty "lip" at the end of the driveway where the snowplow made a huge pile.

Shovel? Inconceivable! My snowblower is always ready to roll.

Snow? Here? That would mean the end of the world for sure.

I couldn't tell you what I hate about it. I've lived in Mississippi my whole life. A centimeter of snow means school is out and the threat of a centimeter of snow means the grocery store is swamped as everyone is preparing to spend an entire week indoors. :p

The cold can be obnoxious if it's bitter, but that's about it

None here in Florida.

I was sort of lucky in Montana, as we lived out in the country (so the snowplow got to our road two days later) and didn't have to shovel more than just a trail to get to the end of the drive.

Oh, and I was the one who shoveled - especially at 5 in the morning when I had to go to work. My lazyass ex-husband was too busy taking up my side of the bed with sleep.

I have pretty much zero upper body strength, so I'm bad at throwing snow far. So lots of walking back and forth with a full shovel. I also have to shovel off the top of the snow bank/push the snow back so I can keep adding to it.

The part where it's cold and there's snow. Really, I avoid shoveling at all costs and only do it when it's absolutely the only way to get my car out of the driveway.

Luckily our winter hasn't been that bad in my area, so far anyway.

I live in Georgia & ours has never been bad enough to shovel. Thank God! I'd hate having to be in the cold to shovel it.

We get snow, but it's literally never enough to warrant anything but throwing some de-icer out onto the walk.

The only thing I don't like is the wind. It's always windy here when it is snowing, which makes it feel very cold out and blows all of the snow back so it looks like I never shoveled.
