What chores in your life do you "hire out"?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
We have a lawn service and a housekeeper that comes in once a week.

However, I do my own nails, and rarely use a dry cleaner.

We know people of limited means who go to the nail salon weekly or use a dry cleaner to do their everyday laundry, so for everyone, there are things we just don't want to do, or find it worth spending cash on.

What do you "hire out", rather then do yourself?

We used to have a housekeeper, but my husband hated all of them, so we stopped doing that. We just moved and no longer have a lawn (YAY!) so no need for that.

My big expense is my hair. My mom can kinda cut hair, but my hair is thick and wavy and generally difficult. I also dye it and put colored extensions in. My hair appointments cost a small fortune, but totally worth it.

The only chore I hire out is getting my dog groomed in winter. My dog is 90 pounds and if I have to bathe him inside, it is a disaster! So, I just pay the $25 and take him to a local groomer.

When I was younger and single, I had a once a week housekeeper. Currently, we take care of everything. House, lawn care and landscaping.

We don't "hire out" any chores, we do it all ourselves but that's easy since we live in an apartment.

The only thing I "hire out" is the dog groomer and occasionally I treat myself and my daughters to a trip to the hair salon. Money these days is not what it used to be.
