If you're the type to wear patterns, how do you wear them? For example, are you the type to wear, say, plaid and vertical stripes at once? Or are you the type to wear floral on more than one article of clothing (shirt AND skirt)? How do YOU wear your patterns?
Do you wear more than one pattern at once? A bunch of the same pattern?

From my days as an interior design major, I learned that there are generally three types of patterns: solids, strips, and swirls. And that you can usually mix 2 of the three with decent results. So I try to keep to that if I can. This does sometimes result in me wearing two different plaids, or plaid and animal print, or some other random combination. I love combining patterns and work really hard to try and keep on the right side of the fine line between "statement" and "tacky."

It can really be difficult. That's why I USUALLY only stick to one thing. But then again, I'm also the type who doesn't care what others think so long as I think I look nice so my style isn't always "conventional". But I've been praised before for my individuality. Lol.

I get confused with patterns and clothes...so I stick to solids and the occasional screen print.

i don't really own a bunch of patterns. i'm a fashion merchandising major, though. i learned in one of my classes last sem that if you want to wear diff patterns, then the "rule" is to wear one big dominant one, & one smaller one (like maybe a sweater w/ big polka dots & a blouse w/ a small floral print). also, the dominant colors in both should be the same. but of course, i learned that in a merchandising class, & whatever someone wants to wear is up to them.
