It wouldn't bother me. But I think male estheticians are pretty rare, at least here in the Midwest. As far as males working at salons, I work at a spa and we have a male nail tech and Hair stylist. He is always busy, so I don't think people mind that much especially since hair and nails aren't as intimate as a bikini wax or massage.
I definitely don't mind a male massage therapist either. I trade massages with my male friend all the time. As long as they act professionally and aren't flirtatious I am fine with it.
I've only heard of one male esthetician in my area (and I live in a big city) So I think the odds of going into a salon and having a guy be the person to do your bikini wax are VERY low. The only male esthetician I have ever heard of caters to men mostly from what I've heard and is one of only a few people in the area who will do a men's Brazilian wax, so that's pretty much all he does. But I think he works out of his own office and doesn't work at a salon
