Honestly, sounds a bit creepy to me. Totalitarian dictatorship? Ugh. My first action would be to abolish it and set up a government that actually reflected the will of the people living there.
no, i don't want that kind of power, i wouldn't even want to be a "Master" (no offense to anyone reading, it's just not my thing) because I don't like thinking I'm forcing someone to do something, even if it is consensual. That being said, I wouldn't mind a position of moderate, limited power in a democracy.

Well, that it pretty much how this question is to be seen, as a totalitarian you would have all the power to fix stuff in the country, so for example you could set up a system what would be best for the people... (Couldn't imagine myself in any different ways either... ^^)

Well, in this case just imagine how horrible many of the governments are - all corrupt and they don't serve the interest of the people, rather the interest of their rulers and companies...
So you would be someone who decides to force his will on others cause at least you care to do something to make things better...

actually I was thinking more of arguing my position and if the legislature adopts it, great, if not, eh.
I wouldn't. I don't think any one person - no matter how smart or caring - could possibly know what is best for everything and everyone in all circumstances; best to have multiple perspectives and people making decisions together.
I wouldn't mind it. I'd redo the economy and filter more money into it, fix healthcare, etc etc. Even if I was the 'total' ruler I'd still allow a democracy of sorts, except they'd be voting on lesser things like congress and laws and shit. I think I'd make sure that major law people weren't corrupt and I'd also legalize gay marriage EVERYWHERE.
I'd also pass a law that protects the sanctity of the internet so people can't censor it in the USA. :/
