I like both. But when I am in a hurry, pancakes are first and waffles are made when I have a lot of time on my hands. I would also add that after years of sampling different mixes from coast to coasts, I have fallen in love with Snoqualmie Falls Lodge Old Fashioned Pancake & Waffle Mix. It is great! For those of you who have health conscious, no egg is required; only add water! You can always add other fruits if that is what you like!

Neither. Take french bread, slice it 1-1/4" thick. Soak it in egg wash and cook it in lightly oiled non stick pan. The oil makes it crispy. Top w butter and powdered sugar or maple syrup. Breakfast, the most important meal of the day.

I like both, waffles you can do more with, but pancakes are much easier to make. lol

I prefer pancakes, but when I was in Belgium, you couldn't beat the waffles. In fact, noone seems to make good waffles here.

Waffles! I have a really good recipe where you beat the egg whites, and they come out with the best, fluffy texture. So much better than waffle mix. Pancakes are too mushy for me. I can only eat one and then I get sick of them.

I like both, though waffles take long enough that they seem more like a special occasion breakfast. My dad taught me a recipe involving rigorous egg preparation, so it takes a while to get them perfect!

I've had far too many stiff and/or rough waffles to truly trust them by name only. Pancakes are fluffy at their best and merely floppy at their worst. They both absorb syrup all the same, so that point is moot in the superiority of pancakes.
