We don't use ours anymore, but we do have it packed away in the garage because my husband has a bunch of VCR tapes in his possession.

We have two working VCRs in our house, and yep, they get used (or at least the one does, the other is hooked up to a broken TV). Mainly for movies that we never bothered to get the DVD of/never got a DVD release.

I haven't used one in at least 5 years. I think my dad still has one.

Still have one, use it half the time for movies. Currently our movie collection is about 40% DVD and 60% VHS tapes. We hope to buy another VCR so that when the current one breaks down we can still watch the VHS.

My Mother has a VCR she was telling me the other day that her VCR is messing up and she needs to buy another one and I told her I'm not sure if they still make them.

We have a VCR/DVD combo thing but I don't know if the VCR part works. It was here when we moved in and I haven't tried it since I only own one VHS tape anymore.

We've still got a few working VCRs kicking it around, and even use them from time to time.

We use them in the kids rooms.. Handy enough you can find them at garage sales, cheap. I have a ton of kids vhs tapes, so my kids are happy

I have a DVD + VCR player, and I play video cassettes from time to time. I remember when DVDs were first coming out, and all of a sudden I started noticing a lot of mine and friends' VCR players began developing issues... then dying... It's like someone was behind it all and wanted to take over the world with DVDs.

I would have to agree with this assessment. I also have a VCR/DVD combo machine along with an extra VCR still in a box! I don't have a Blu-Ray machine and will wait as long as I can until I can no longer buy regular DVD's.

I thought I was they only one! LOL I have my VCR hooked up to my TV in order to hook up the DVD player because the TV is so old. I don't use the VCR player for anything other then the hook up.

Oh, same here. I have to connect everything else to my VCR player because the TV is old. I hate having to use so many electronics with so many wires and remotes!

It's in the closet. Used is last year around the holidays, but probably not for 3+ years prior.
