Valentine's Day seems to be one of those holidays that people feel strongly for or against. When I was single, I wished I could skip right past it. Sometimes when you are coupled it can be a disappointment if the expectations are off. And then sometimes, everything seems to come together and it is every bit as wonderful as you hoped it would be. How do you feel about V day?
Valentine's Day- Do you love it or hate it?

No matter whether I am in a relationship or not I celebrate it with my family. So, either way I have always seemed to enjoy it, except for a few times I was single and my friends shoved their relationships in my face. Then I just get angry not oh woah as me.

Most of the time, even when I am in a relationship, it is just another day. If I am lucky I might get chocolate, or flowers, or lingerie, or a toy, but I buy that stuff for myself anyways. I have never had enough money to go all out and neither have my partners, even if we did, I think there is a lot more to be said of spontaneity than of celebrating for the sake of the day on the calendar.
This might be partially because my birthday is two days before, and my sisters is two days after Valentines day.

In terms of romance, I am pretty indifferent about it. I'm not one to worry about specific holidays and dates.
I DO however love that everyone feels obligated to buy gifts for their significant others because I make a lot of money off of it. Valentine's Day is the busiest week of the year for us at the day spa I work at.

Valentine's Day is actually one of my favorite holidays. But I'm a hopeless romantic.

I work a job that VDay is always BUSY so I naturally dislike it. That and I used to be made fun off in school for never having a date. So I just always want it over with as fast as possible, i don't like the mushy gushy stuff either.
Hm, I might just be different tomorrow and wear something anti-valentine's just for the hell of it... like all black and chains or something, haven't done that in a while lol.

My significant other doesn't do holidays (not because of religion, but because he feels they're a waste of time and energy), so I'm doing nor getting nothing. Probably not even a "Happy Valentine's Day, sweetheart!".
I didn't think this would be a big deal, but at every passing day, I'm getting more and more bitter about it.

I understand. Sometimes my partner is practical to a fault about things. When I start to feel how you do, I tell him that I don't want him to change who he is but ask if there is a compromise for us to make us both happy. It seems to work well for us.

I love it. I wont lie. I actually buy a box of valentines (this year I got Tinkerbell ) and put them in everyones locker at work. yes it is commercialized. But I like to make people smile in the middle of their winter blues.
I get cute things for my daughter that make her smile. I make dinner for the man and we do cards.

I LOVE it. Really, I love every holiday and any excuse to buy presents for folks is a good one for me. Flowers for mom, a chocolate for my sister, goofy cards for my friends, and it just gets that much better if I have a partner to lavish attention on. I don't see anything wrong with taking opportunity and running with it. Its only predictable and monotonous if you let it be.

I absolutely loathe it. I hate sappy things and I tend to make a point to be the least romantic I can be. I like to go out for tacos (or KFC or anything equally delicious and unromantic) on Valentine's.
..pretty much the only thing I like about Valentine's are the next day sales on candy.

I never make a big deal out of it. I think as a kid it was a bigger deal because you got valentines for all your classmates.

It's my anniversary so, I love it!

There's really not a lot to it for me and Hubby. Cards, flowers or something of the sort - on weekends we do a dinner but mainly the kids have a lot of fun doing their Valentine Cards for school. It's just a fun day.

I recently started seeing a new guy so I think Valentine's day is going to be a little awkward for me. We're spending it together but just keeping it casual. We're not at the point where we can make it into a big romantic event, or buy presents for each other.

Valentine's Day is my excuse for trying new stuff with my guy (like with me initiating it). First time I sent him naughty pics was on a Valentine's Day

I voted love it - which isn't quite right. I use it as an excuse to try something new, so it's a convenience more than anything.

It doesn't mean much to me no matter whether I'm single or in a relationship. It's just another day!
