Even though our vacuum cleaner has a home in the closet, it always seems to be out in the living room.

We just moved to a small apartment that doesn't have a cleaning storage closet. So, yeah, ours is just in the living room all the time.

it's been in my storage room for over a year straight. I don't have carpets in my apartment now so it's quite useless

It lives in my hall closet or my bedroom closet. Hubby is a stickler about that particular thing. I honestly don't care either way, so long as I don't stub my toe.

Definitely doesn't sit out. I hate clutter, everything has it's place. So it always returns to the hall closet with the other vacuum.

Ours has a closet to live in (actually one on the porch) but for a long time in our previous place it was just kind of out and in the corner. Sometimes it's hard to find a spot for a vacuum in a smaller apartment.

Nope. I put it in the closet, and if I didn't have a closet I'd get a folding screen and hide it behind there.

I keep mine in the closet. My mom left a vacuum in the living room once and I ended up breaking my toe on the recliner because I was avoiding the vacuum. no more broken toes for me.

Yes mine is in my living room as well. If it is not there it is up in the hallway upstairs. I don't have a storage area for it either.

Ours is in a nicely hidden spot in our living room. It has a place in the closet but we use it so often that we usually just store it in the living room.
