I love the UPS man. I had about 15 packages delivered during the holidays (I got sucked into all those amazon lightening deals) and I was not home for all the deliveries. Instead of leaving them on our front porch in plain sight, the UPS man hid them on my porch either underneath my bench behind flower pots,or inside the wagon, and they would slip a piece of paper under our front door letting us know when and where they dropped it off.
I am NOT a fan of USPS. I live out in the county, but in a development. We have clusters of mailboxes, and there are 2 larger boxes for packages to go in. Packages that don't fit in there are dropped off at our doorstep, The cluster of mailboxes is in front of my neighbors house. Not far at all. I was expecting a package before Thanksgiving, and it was being tracked, the day before thanksgiving it was listed as "out for delivery" by my local post office. On Friday I called the post office, and they said it had came back to the post office because it was "too far" for the postal worker to get to my house from the mailbox. I said I'm in the required 1/2 mile, and in reality I can see the mailboxes from my front window. I wouldnt have made a big deal of it, but living in the county, the post office is a 35 minute drive from my house, and the opposite direction of where everything else is. I ended up having to go pick it up myself. Then one time instead of delivering a package to my doorstep, it was in front of my garage..which for one I can not see the front of my garage anywhere in my house, it sticks out in front of my house, and it was pouring down rain. Luckily my bf noticed it before he pulled into the garage, and didn't run it over. Also our clumsy mailman frequently drops mail on the ground outside the mailbox, and I am always getting other peoples mail.
