I'm one of those people who hates overnight company or unannounced company. I've always been like that. Are any of you like that?
How do you feel about unexpected company?

I am definitely one of those people!! I hate surprise visitors and overnight guests are fine but we prefer the house to ourselves. I guess with age, I have gotten more selfish, lol!!!

YES! It is especially tough with my parents living only 5 houses down the street from me. Great for babysitting, but I swear that one of these days I am going to just start screaming orgasmic, naughty things when she knocks on my door unexpectedly. That way my mom will learn to call before just walking over.

I'm always like that. I think it's b/c I have routines and when people are over they disrupt the routine. Plus I also feel like I have to entertain and I don't really know how to do that.
09/21/2012
Yes it is very irritating.

I cant stand being surprised by people popping in, I need be able to work it into my busy schedule. Being as I only have a small 3 bedroom house, I like to know ahead of time about overnight guests or surprise visitors. I need to have time to prepare the house and have enough seating or to know where everyone is going to be sleeping.

yes I hate when i get a knock at the door and its a family member i haven seen in years or months. alot of times i just dont answer the door unless im expecting a package lol
09/21/2012
I don't like surprise visitors, but if I know well enough ahead of time I don't mind it at all.
09/21/2012
I don't mind when it's family. Just recently my sister popped by and I didn't expect to see her at all that day. It was quite nice!
09/21/2012
I'm not a fan of uninvited guests, either. I can't explain why, but I've always felt it was an invasion of privacy.
09/21/2012
I don't like it at all even if it's our close relatives or best friends, I need people to call ahead and ask for permission before coming over.
09/21/2012
I wouldn't like unannounced company at all... I always like to make sure guests are greeted with a tidy house, clean sheets and towels, etc... but that takes planning!
09/21/2012
Can't stand unexpected 'pop-ins'. There's nothing worse than being caught off guard by a guest when you busy.
09/21/2012
Not a huge fan of overnight pop-ins, but if people stop by for a short visit, I'm usually cool with it
09/21/2012
Oh gods. I hate unannounced company! I'm one of those people who need my home to be clean for me to be comfortable with other people in it.
09/21/2012
I hate it! It makes me feel like I'm being forced to entertain and ugh.
09/22/2012
I hate it too!
09/22/2012
I also hate this. If you don't give me advanced warning - don't come over!
09/22/2012
I do not like unexpected company. Ever.
09/22/2012
I don't have a lot of company. So when people unexpectantly drops in I am awkward and usually in pj's lol
09/22/2012
Don't like unexpected company unless they're naked.
09/22/2012
With having kids, I like advanced warning so I can clean up the toys/clothes. Even though I do tidy 1-2 times a day, if they are actively playing, there needs to be some quick tidying done. There is a very short list of people I approve of showing up unexpectedly. At the moment, I think that list consists of...1, maybe 2, close friends.
09/22/2012
although i would rather not have company, I welcome it.
09/22/2012
Can't say it happens much, but I generally don't like it.
09/22/2012
I absolutely hate it. I don't dress appropriately when other people come over. I review sex toys often, so I have toys laying on my computer desk. I have two small boys, so toys are everywhere. If people are coming over, I would like at least a 15min notice so I can pick up the stuff and dress myself.
There is only one person that comes over uninvited and without warning. I might be biased because I dislike this person, but I absolutely hate it. I told hubby if he doesn't get rid of his friend, I will chase him off. He shows up often without warning and uninvited asking for money. NO, go away! That is my answer. However, since hubby has known him for 15years he feels a bond with him.

People don't usually just drop in unannounced in my culture. We like our personal space, lol.
09/22/2012
I don't like it, but I'll tolerate it. Although they'll also have to be ok with sitting outside for half an hour while I tidy up the place...

Woah! Unexpected visitors would make my anxiety shoot up. I generally don't like surprises as it is, but if someone is coming to my house and it isn't as "presentable" as I would like, I'd freak the heck out!
