Unexpected weather

Contributor: surreptitious surreptitious
I normally wouldn't make a thread that could potentially go on and on past when it's relevant, but since it's cold enough here in Southern Ontario that we actually had to bring the horses in! It has been snowing since this morning, I just had to ask if anyone was in the same boat. I actually can't see the road from my house because it's snowing so hard, and the horses have shed their winter coats, so they were definitely unprepared. Has anyone else had any unexpected turns? Last week it was in the seventies!

We have had like a week of spring weather so far. Hell, I am still burning wood to keep the house warm. Tonight they say we may break an all time record for the UP for the coldest night. It has never dropped below 20 after May 11 in recorded history. lol

Last week it was really warm, and feeling a lot like summer. Now, it's freezing tonight.

The weather her has been consistent in switching from really cold to summer heat. In theory it'll settle down soon though

The weather in Alabama has been going back and forth a lot, like it can't decide if winter/spring chill is done.

My weather has been warm and sunny! But I'm always prepped, at least mentally, for rain.

A lot of you guys are getting the same flip flop that I am, which is pretty interesting - I have friends in other cities in Ontario, and they're getting none of this, so I guess that I'm just sharing in the luck with a lot of you American peeps. The snow's already almost all melted here, and I'm hoping that it will be gone again by this afternoon - it's still pretty chilly out, but the sun's helping to heat things up.

It's pretty cold today, while it was in the 80s a few days ago. No snow though, thank goodness.

Our weather in Montana has been pretty interesting--cold and snowing or boiling hot.....

Glad that it is almost melted. When you told me I almost fell out my seat that is just crazy.

A few years back I agreed to meet a friend in a cafe, just across the road from my house. Out of nowhere the storm began, suddenly I was standing in the middle of the road completely drenched, the water wen literally up to my knees. I've never seen anything like this in my life, there were no signs of rain when I left the house and in 5 minutes I was in the middle of a freaking flood. Thankfully it cleared up rather quickly.

Oh my gosh, that was just from the weather? Like, the storm didn't break a water main or anything? We actually had something like that happen when I was living in my basement apartment - luckily hardly any of it got in the door, but it was still pretty bad.
