Recently, I've heard a couple stories about people's toys getting destroyed by exposure to heat. In one case, the person left a toy bag in the trunk of their car during the summer and in another the person had the toys in a bin in a storage facility. Has this happened to you?
Have you had any toys damaged by extreme heat?

Mine were old cheap toys though, nothing good no silicones

No, but it could happen! Be careful!!!!
04/16/2013
No personally, but I can certainly see it happening with cheaper materials.

Rubber/plastic can definitely discolor and melt in higher temperatures. We had a couple cheap older toys melt together a bit a couple years back. Now we mostly buy silicone/glass/metal so it's a non-issue.

I don't think so.

Yes, my trinity wand was damaged because my frisky fingers bullet vibe melted in my toy box due to heat. Nothing else was damaged, thankfully.

Not as of yet but I hear it happens....

I've never had this happen but I don't leave them exposed to extreme heat.
04/16/2013
Nope but i hear it can happen...just have to keep them in a safe place

never happen to me o: i hoe it doesn't

We haven't had this issue but 95% of our stuff is glass or silicone
04/16/2013
Nope...but most of my toy are high quality and are properly stored.
04/17/2013
No, I have not experienced this issue but I make sure I properly store my toys as well.
04/17/2013
No, because I don't have them where the heat can get to them.

in my reviews, I state we should always keep our toys away from heat and direct sunlight - to protect from possible damage.

We had a rabbit vibrator melt in a drawer all but destroying it.

Not from heat. But from water. I got a vibe wet and it stopped working. Kinda my fault. But oh well.

never had this happen but then again i always keep my toys at home

No but I've heard of it happening to cheap, crappier materials.

Nope.

nope

I've had toys melt together. This was before I knew about jelly toys and storing them. I honestly don't know if it was heat, or just the fact that they were made of crap material and stored together. With my new collection (I've thrown out a lot of cheap materials and added a lot of higher end materials) I haven't had it happen.
Edit: Just realized I voted "no". Whoopsie.
