So the new quarter started today at my school! I went to my first Biology class and listened to the overview of the course, learned about the professor, etc. It seems way easier than a lot of other science classes I've taken. So I guess I just want to hear it from you guys: Which science was the toughest for you to learn?

Chemistry was the worst for me. =] Biology wasn't too bad for me.

Zoology killed me

Why not?? I mean, it's the science of humanity and deals a lot with evolution and origins; the Biological Anthropology side deals with DNA and the Human Genome.

Chem is my Bane.
01/02/2013
My husband is a chemist (and a total genius!) but i can barely wrap my head around half of what he says. I've never been able to get into chemistry.
I like biology and earth science, I think that stuff is super easy.

I wasn't keen on the areas of physics which were heavily maths-dependent.
01/02/2013
Not a fan of physics.
01/02/2013
I'm having a tough time trying to wrap my head around the basics of Quantum Physics and how it connects to our spiritual presence on earth. The Time continuum keeps messing with my head.
01/02/2013
All of the science classes I have taken have been easy for me. Granted, I took them BECAUSE I knew I could do it. I've steered clear of chem and physics because I know I wouldn't do well.
01/02/2013
Whoopsies, double post.
01/02/2013
I loved anything science but I did have a hard time with Physics.
01/02/2013
None of the sciences in school ever really gave me any trouble, but computers I don't have a clue. I deal with a lot of sciences working on a nuke power plant though.
01/02/2013
I never took Chemistry cuz I knew it'd kick my ass and fuck up my GPA, so I took Biology instead.
01/02/2013
For me, it was all the memorization in chemistry. It definitely varies based on your teacher and whether you enjoy it
01/02/2013
Rigid body dynamics kicked my ass.
01/02/2013
I was bored by biology, which made it hardest.
01/02/2013
Advanced Chems were hard
01/02/2013
Physics...I love Chem

Biochemistry and genetics were both tough for me.

The lab parts of biology were hard for me. I loved learning about evolution and the human body. I just didn't care about the more chemistry-ish aspects!
01/03/2013
Other, I didn't really have a problem with any of them...

Physics, but we learned the harder stuff all the time cause our teachers were amazing... I still wonder how in the world we had time to squeeze all those things into the classes... ~lol ^^

I had a hard time with the math of physics, but the principles make sense to me. Chemistry is fascinating, but difficult. I've had sort of a reawakening with science, I just wish I was in the school setting again so I could take another shot at it. Geology and astronomy are my favorites, so I am glad that I was able to study them in college.

I love taking science courses in college, as well as in High School and even Grammar School. Chem was the hardest for me, because of the math and because I couldn't picture most of it.
My father was a college professor and one of his degrees is in Anthropology, and he taught a number of Anthropology courses, so I was basically raised with this as part of my upbringing. I came close to making Anthro my Minor, but it would have required and extra semester, and I never took the last two classes for a Minor.

I had to say "nutrition science". I did great in the others. With Nutrition Science, I didn't get it then, and still cannot understand how Chocolate is not listed as "the Brown Food Group" and why there was not a layer for it on the "food pyramid"???

Funny to read that. I hated math. Terrible in it. However, given those same formulas in a "picture form" as part of a science project, and it was "instant A time". No problem.

I have no problems with chemistry and biology. I'm headed to organic chemistry next semester. I have to take physics in the fall and I'm scared Math + science in the same class? Why is responsible to this horrible subject?

Chemistry definitely. I had a tough teacher though. My HS chemistry teacher was great but my University teacher tried to "trick" the students by giving them false information, making us memorize it, testing us on it, then on a later test assumed we'd realize on our own that the information was false and answer the questions on the test accordingly.

Cat E.
They're all tough for me.

I had a hard time with biology, and hated it as a result. I'm not a fan of memorizing things or dissecting things. Ick.
Now the math-heavy sciences like chemistry and physics? I love those! Much easier for me to understand.

Physical biochemistry II was the hardest class I ever took. I'm pretty happy just getting a B out of it.
01/03/2013
I took Chemistry twice in high school just to pass it. I took Chem 1 in college and was able to pass (I even got a B!) without too many problems, but I had to take Chem 2 twice and I barely passed the second time. I think I got a 2.5 and that was only because I got an A in lab...
01/03/2013
I picked physics as far as the topic is concerned, but my Organic Chemistry teacher (Chem 301) turned me off of Org Chem forever...

However, Physics was difficult because our teacher sucked. Funnily enough the next school year, she was not there anymore.
01/03/2013
never liked the subject
01/03/2013
I'm so glad to read your guys' responses! I don't feel so alone anymore- Chem (followed closely by Physics) were the hardest for me. Math isn't my strong suit either haha.

Chemistry was so hard for me!

Botany. Mostly because I just didn't find it interesting.

I love physics and biology a lot and have always been an A student in the sciences but chemistry was the "hardest" because I didn't find it so fun, and when I'm not having fun I learn less intuitively.
01/04/2013
Chemistry was kinda soul crushing for me. I got high marks in the theory part, but terrible grades in lab. The sheer amount of rote memorization made biology a pain the ass, too. I like all the other sciences. I've never had much trouble with maths, so that helps.
01/05/2013
Physics was like hell on earth when I took it.
01/06/2013
Physics. But I loved biology and chemistry
01/06/2013
I was terrible at all science. One of my worst subjects in school.
01/06/2013
I'm really not a science person. I am curious about science, but languages, music, and creative things like art are just much easier for me. This is tough, because my family is full of engineers. That said, I have always enjoyed biology. I wouldn't say it is easier than the other sciences so much as I find it a lot more interesting and relevant.

Chemistry! I could never figure out how to combine elements :/ H2O is about all I could figure out lol

All sciences are equally tough for me.

Biology was easy until I took a year of AP Biology. Never again!

The toughest for me was psychology but it was because the text book was horrible and the class was taught haphazard. I retook the class with a better rated teacher and found it fascinating and way easier. I guess it depends on the material used and the person teaching the class...
