Tofu

I grew up eating tofu. Not because it's a health food, but simply because it's pretty much a staple of the Japanese diet.

So while I consider tofu 'Japanese' food, it's still just FOOD. And I think it's delicious.

Do you eat, or not eat, tofu because you consider it to be a health food? Or because you do, or do not, like how it tastes?

Have you tried it yet? If not, why not?

I've tried it a few times, but I've never cared for it.

I also grew up with it. I don't really care whether it's a health food or not, I'll eat it as long as it's prepared with the right condiments to make it taste good - I love Japanese style Agedashi Tofu and Korean pan-fried tofu with red spicy sauce!

I like tofu just because I like the taste, silken tofu is delicious. I don't think it is very healthy if eaten in large amounts.

we eat tofu all the time, along with a ton of rice. I like it fried or in miso soup.

I tried it because a lot of my college friends ate it. I think it's boring when eaten plain, but delicious when cooked in a meal.

On occasion, I will include it in a meal. I've served it as a substitute for hamburgers, parmigiana, etc.

Since I started being a vegetarian a few years ago, I've eaten a lot of tofu. It tastes great to me and I have fun experimenting with it when cooking.

It tastes disgusting to me, and is really not healthy as people think. The only way I'll eat it is in very very small pieces in miso soup.
