Rooster Hangs Out at Gus's - A Fried Chicken Restaurant
No one knows where he came from, no one knows why he's there.
Sounds like the setup to a PETA video to me, yet everyday this little rooster makes his way down the street and hangs out at Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis, Tennessee. This first started three months ago, when someone noticed him walking down the street, then crossing the street (with traffic!) and settling on the lawn of the local restaurant. If he doesn't cross the street he'll hang out underneath a sign or in the brush and trees, reportedly poking his head out if someone calls to him. They've been trying to round him up and get him into a shelter before he gets hurt, but efforts have failed.
Quite the mystery...why on earth would a chicken hang out at a chicken restaurant? Serious and non-serious answers are welcome!
