I, and my family, quite like board-games (though for jigsaws I insist on doing them myself). The trouble is, we don't have a large table surface (not currently in use) to play them on.

They are very good for family unity, which playstations are nice, but there seems to be more communication going on with a board game. People like to talk, and when there's a game of competitive "action" such as a playstation, there just isn't much interaction on a personal level. Everything has a place, just needs to be used in moderation IMO.

I love Trivial Pursuit. I kick ASS in that game. LOL! (I'm a wealth of worthless knowledge.) We also play Scrabble (the first time I played with My Man, I trounced him and he didn't play with me again for like, ten years. Baby.)
I don't like Monopoly, but My Man does, so I "give it up" and play Monopoly with him sometimes, so he'll play games I like.
It's nice, because our youngest one (eleven years old) is now old enough to play on her own, and she's a good speller. We also have "kids" Trivial Pursuit cards, but we have found they are simply too easy for her. So, the regular cards are for all of us, including the baby girl.
I like sitting in a calm, quiet living room or dining room playing a board game. I don't play any video games at all, we don't even have a game system (our kids have a few for the computer and my middle one has a DS, I think it's called, a hand held game system)
I think Board Games are like eating dinner, they bring families together.

We usually play board games when friends come over. We have a whole bunch of board games, but when our friends are over we play Dirty Minds, I've Never, and Fact or Crap.

I play traditional board games on occasion. Recently, though, one of my best friends and I MADE a board game which was just call "The Best Game Ever." It is very complex and hilarious, and based on years of inside jokes. The wonderful part is that we're so absurd in our humour that even if you're not in on the inside jokes exactly, it's still really funny and extremely entertaining. It's become a real party hit in my circle of friends, and the "draw a card" pile only gets bigger because we think of new jokes all the time. So yeah, I'm a board game fan for sure

I love board games. I've always loved playing classics like Life, Monopoly, and Trivial Pursuit. I also have the vintage Mad Magazine Board Game. That's a lot of fun! It has some pretty crazy rules, and just reading the instructions is a laugh riot.

I absolutely love board games. My man and I play them sometimes, though not on a really regular basis. I also have a group of friends that get together occasionally to play different board games, like Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rico, and a few others. It's a lot of fun! I like slowing down, unplugging, and spending time with people.

We're big fans of Cranium! But you have to have at least four people to play that one. We played Life recently with Bee's family and that was great! My family really enjoys Monopoly.

We play Chess and Scrabble mostly. At christmastime we always try a brand new one.
