For example those who have asthma and consume raw milk don't have such problems anymore - and my OnlyMaster being One of those people, unfortunately having asthma too - well, yes, you can drink specific herbal teas, eat an apple a day, have some horse radish and honey all the time - but it just looks pretty scary how foods what have been pretty safe in general over history are becoming less and less available to those who can't afford to have a cow or goat to enjoy the benefits of such things, having to buy raw milk from someone else, and see it is totally illegal in some states... ~growls
So anyway... Am just curious about the opinions of you, dear EF members, and how you see this whole topic... ~smiles shy

LOL. I loved the options. The "I just don't give a heck..." was just funny to me. Not in a bad way, just.. okay, it's late! Lol.
I just went with other. Sorry. The word raw milk makes me gag, but that is only because I'm a sensitive freak about milk. It's just one of those things I can't ingest very well, unless it's in cereal or well concealed in chocolate flavors or in coffee, that way I don't have to KNOW it's there. Lol. Out of sight out of mind?
But I chose other because I'd want to know more about these health risks. However, why outlaw it? People can make their own wise enough decisions. For Pete's sake, you can buy alcohol/smokes, but no raw milk? Surely it's not as bad for your health as those things, and this is coming from a smoker!
I agree with you wholeheartedly on how it's becoming so tough to get good, natural healthy things. Shit, you can't even buy organic fruit without going through heck. We almost have no healthy options. They're always taken away.
I don't know if it's outlawed here in GA, but we're like cow-freakin-city. It's not uncommon for me to wake up, walk outside and see a cow (or two) standing in my yard. Lol. OR in the middle of the damn road. That is annoying, but always a funny experience. We have pastures everywhere, one only right across my road. I can see cows if I look out my window.
Okay, off topic again. Um... oh yeah. So I do think it sounds possibly absurd to outlaw raw milk. Perhaps I don't know enough though, but I doubt my opinion would change. I would love for more healthy food/drink choices to be available, but you know the truth. You mentioned how it's healthy for you (asthma stuff. That's awesome. I actually did not know that!) and you mentioned how it's becoming or is scarcely available, the raw milk. Hmmm.. We know why. Because if people can be healthy and treat themselves (your lovie's asthma being treated by the raw milk, my IBS and endometriosis being treated by something as simple as Aloe vera plant!) then how do they make their billions of $ off of us and our dire need for their un-natural, harmful products or drugs. Also, if we're bombarded with only unhealthy choices as for food, we're certainly gonna need those doctor's even more = more billions.
I do some studying in Ayurveda medicine and that is how I've learned that the natural foods and stuff we were given, and are basically free, they're discouraged by healthcare because well, again, where will they get their billions. Notice a natural product that heals some health condition cannot be sold or if it is, it's not "FDA approved," and therefore most people are under the impression it's very bad for you! We've got it totally backwards.
Anyways, I like this post. I see where you are coming from, and I'm intrigued by your knowledge, my dear!
And really, outlawing raw milk? Why do that when it being available is not harming those who do not wish to consume it, but it'd still be available for those who do need/want it. That's just absurd sounding to me.
Is raw milk outlawed in your area? I'm getting curious about whether or not it is in mine. I kind of doubt it, but I've never seen raw milk for sale or anything like that. Again, there are benefits to raw milk being outlawed -- only those benefits do not benefit you or anyone else that's not one of the billion dollar healthcare mess.
Did I make a lick of sense? Make me go to bed, now before I do something crazy. Lol.
