My family also has the "one on Christmas Eve, the rest on Christmas morning" tradition.

Always get a live tree about one or two weeks before. Dad always puts the lights up outside the first week of December. I do lots of baking for gift baskets/plates. I always bring change with me whenever I go out to put in the Salvation Army kettles (in fact, I save change throughout the year for this so there's a few dollars' worth of change going into a single kettle). I look for the Perfect Ornament (flamingo wearing a Santa hat) but I never find it. Walk the neighborhood to look at the lights. Certain dishes always made for Christmas dinner.

We normally do our family Christmas on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas Day it would just be my parents, my sister, and me.

We have a lot of family traditions. We also do the "One on Christmas Eve, the rest on Christmas" tradition. The Christmas Eve present is usually pajamas for us to wear that night and Christmas morning. We also cuddle up on our giant couch and watch Christmas Vacation every Christmas Eve, late at night.

One gift Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning. Most of the time, the one gift came from family cuz we would get together with the family on Christmas Eve too. I also make some cookies that my granny taught me to make to give out as gifts. They are perfect for everyone cuz even diabetic people can eat them too.
