I have a lot of friends who talk all the time, some who text all the time, and some who don't like using the phone at all! Where do YOU stand?
Talk or text?

We don't even have a regular talking phone plan, we just use Skype for that, and I text all the time!

We text all the time.
I'd prefer that my guy called me and skyped with me more... or at all... but he doesn't like talking on the phone and always says he's tired or some shit like that. I tend to think it's pathetic, because we're long distance so it's not even like I'm that girlfriend who sees him every other day and begs him to call. Like really, being able to hear is voice or see his face once or twice a fucking month would be GREAT jackass...

The only person I actually call is my mom. Everyone else is text only. I'm on the phone all day at work. I don't really want to call my husband or friends during the day too. Texting is much easier and I can respond when I have a second.

The only person I talk on the phone with is my mother in law. That is because she doesn't own a cell and can not text. Everyone else we text to.

I'm more of a texting and skype person.

I have a bad habit during phone and even real life conversations of drifting off in the middle of a sentence and hitting a wall where I'm just not really talkative anymore. That can really kill any productive phone time sometimes. I prefer to text so that I can answer at my leisure and not have to worry about a real time "oh shit, what was I saying?"

I'm a txt junkie.. I would die without my phone

I love texting with anyone and talking on the phone with husband. I don't really talk to anyone else on the phone beyond family members and those that are needed like scheduling doctor's appointments, etc. I'm a somewhat introverted person so talking on the phone is hard for me most of the time.

Texting or Skype.
I will only really talk on the phone with my immediate family (Mom, Dad, Brother or Sis in law) or Master. Everyone else it is just social awkwardness...

I like email. A lot. Texting is cool but it's limited because my husband and I text up to, if not more, than 50 times a day sometimes and I only have 1500 messages a month.
11/04/2011
skype all the way!

How about face time, people?!
11/04/2011
I use what ever mean necessary. Voice, Txt, IM, Video chat, snail mail.
11/04/2011
I'd rather text than anything else, or Skype if I can't text the person.

I text a LOT
and recently have been emailing quite a bit too. skype and facetime.

cll phones are evil, regular phones are annoying and texting is without any redeeming value.

i really prefer to text. i like to instant message on skype, & my bf is the only person i like to video chat on skype w/. i talk on the phone occasionally.

I think mmost people like to text because it's easier and you can reply when you FEEL like it, and don't have to hold as much of a conversation. PLus you can talk alomst ANY time via texting!

Depends on the person...if it's my boyfriend, then all of the above. If it isn't, I only text.
11/04/2011
I *hate* talking on the phone, even to people I like. I'll take texting any day!
11/04/2011
I greatly prefer texting. I have issues understanding people over the phone, and it gets irritating when I have to ask someone to repeat what they said five times.
11/04/2011
I like texting...short, simple and to the point!

I don't like using the phone much at all either way. I hate talking on the phone, since I express myself better through typing than verbally. For some reason, it's much more impersonal feeling when the person is not with you, which is strange, because you'd think it would feel more uncomfortable, as a result, to type out your thoughts. However, you can completely control the presentation of your message and its tone through typing. Not to say you can't do that verbally, but I just find it more comfortable doing it that way.
So, I'm definitely a messenger gal. MSN, AIM, Yahoo, Skype, I do it all. I still don't prefer to text though since I have a basic phone and it's difficult to keep up with those, as well as uncomfortable. So, messengers first, texting second, and talking only when it's necessary to.

Skype is more my speed. I spend too much time on the computer anyway so it's just easiest for me. Besides, this way you can see who you're talking to!

Seems so far like society prefers texting!
