Summer will be here soon and I'm curious about other people's use of it. I am very pale and sensitive so I wear it year-round but what about you?

I have not worn any for a long time, I spend so much time outside that I probably should but I almost never burn so I don't really think about it.

never wore it but going to have to start cause got skin cancer from sun and taning beds

I don't typically go out much during the day because of my job. If I'm going to be out in the sun for more than 30 minutes, I will put some on.

I'm super pale and definitely burn, so if I'm going to be out in the sun for any sort of extended period of time I almost always were some sunscreen on my face/neck, and then generally wear longer sleeved shirts/pants, or sunscreen when I'm not.
When I burn it's just uncomfortable and then it peels, no tan, nothing, so there's no point vanity or otherwise to not wearing some kind of sun protection.

I've heard the rumor mill about sunscreen aiding and abetting melanoma's nasty little tricks so I try not to use it. I also try to avoid the sun, so no harm no foul. Though the sun would help my psoriasis, the melanoma concerns far outweigh those benefits.

If I know I am going to be on or near water, I make sure I put some on.
04/18/2012
I try and remember to wear it any time I will be outside for any extended period of time. Since having our son I have gotten better because I really try hard to remember to put it on him, so he helps me remember.

My skin is not that prone to burning, but there has been a lot of skin cancer in my family, so you bet I wear it.

I don't wear sunscreen. I'll get red the first time, but after that I tan so it's all good.

I usually only wear sunscreen if I'm going to the beach. However, I should wear it all the time because I like my skin and do not want melanoma.

I do nothing but burn and skin cancer runs in my family so I make sure to use it most of the time.

I don't really stay out in the sun long enough to even get a tiny tan so I don't bother.

I wear a moisturizer with sunscreen on my face every day to prevent aging and skin cancer. I'm not as good about wearing sunscreen on my body though. I usually only apply it on days when I know I'm spending time outside. I'm trying to get better about that though, especially because my mom had skin cancer a few years ago.

I wear sunscreen any time I go outside. I'm a red head, so I'm already prone to burning. I'm currently dealing with skin cancer, so even with all my effort, the few times I've burned has been enough.
Something I think doctors should be better about warning women of is that taking an oral contraceptive can make you more prone to sun burn. I went back on the pill and spent about 30 minutes outside on a cloudy day while packing our moving truck. I woke up the next day with sun poisoning. Now I am sun sensitive, but never that bad. I was so sick and really ticked that I was never warned my pill could have that effect. I didn't even know till I called my normal doctor and asked about a pain killer for it that wouldn't mess with my already upset stomach. She explained that like with pregnant women, the change in hormones can also lead to sun sensitivity in some.

Our daughter, the plastic surgeon, would NOT be happy seeing us tanned and brown. I can assure you of that. She rails about how "preventable" skin cancer is.

I never wear it, I hate how it makes my skin feel and smell. If I'm going to be outside for a stretch of longer than a few hours I'll wear a hat and a long sleeved shirt instead. I'm pale, but luckily I don't burn easily.

I'm very pale and burn in an instant so sunscreen is a must!
04/18/2012
I try to stay inside where I don't need sunscreen, but if I go out for any extended period of time, I usually do put some on, as otherwise, I will burn.
04/18/2012
I'm pale but I also live in Oregon where you hardly see the sun. Plus I'm inside most of the time since the weather is so yucky, so I rarely wear it unless I know I'm going to be out for a long time and it's sunny.
04/18/2012
Luckily I have a fairly dark skin tone, so I don't usually wear it and I spend as much time in the outdoors as I can. I usually put it on for a week or so in the beginning of the summer if I'm at the pool, etc., but other than that, don't wear it. And yes, I'll probably regret it when I get older

I am very pale and there has been a lot of skin cancer in my family. So, I'm OCD about sunscreen.
04/18/2012
I rarely wear it - but should. Hopefully this summer I'll do better!
04/19/2012
I have dark skin. So I don't wear it much. Plus I'm not outside a lot during the summer.
04/19/2012
I wear it religiously in the summer. I'm very fair and burn easily.
04/19/2012
I live in the skin cancer center of the universe, so going around without sunscreen is like playing russian roulette. Plus, I don't need any more wrinkles than I already have, so yeah, I wear it a lot.
04/19/2012
I have moisturizer with SPF, but I rarely wear sunscreen. That's why being out yesterday got my shoulders burnt...
