Sunsets are amazing but seeing the sun rise with your partner after staying up all night talking can be so so romantic!

I've never really been much for watching the sun go up OR down, but I've got a better chance of seeing the sun set than rise.

I think a beautiful sunset at the beach is so romantic.
05/19/2011
Sunsets are so beautiful, especially if you have a wonderful place to watch them from.

sunsets are gorgeous

Our sunsets are beautiful. We live on a big hill/mountain and the sky turns all pink and purple and it covers the sky. Havnt seen many good sunrises considering there are mountains to the east of us, but they seem pretty normal. idk.

Neither of us are morning people, so definitely sundown. With 2 kids sunrises are invariably simply getting everyone out the door for the day.

Definitely the sunset.
A partner would know better than to ever wake me just to see a damn sunrise! It wouldn't be romantic in the slightest....hehe.

Sunset, I am not a morning person. When I used to work over nights I got to see the sunrise, but it wasn't always a welcome site. For those that work nights, if you can get home before the sun's up, you do, the sun light starts a chemical reaction in your body and you start to wake up.
05/20/2011
Sunsets are more romantic. Honestly I don't know if I've ever stayed up long enough or woken up early enough to see a sunrise. If I have then I obviously wasn't paying enough attention!
05/20/2011
I wish I could say "sunrise" because I LOVE watching the sun rise. When I've seen them before, it's been a peaceful, positive experience and I've always gotten the feeling like I made the most of the day. The truth is, though, that I watch more sunsets than sunrises because I don't ever wake before 7. I mean, never. (unless I have more than one alarm at different places within the room to wake me up)
One of my favorite memories ever was watching a sunrise with some friends, but we'd stayed up all night. It was a fantastic night.

I'm a night person. I'd rather sleep through sunrise.

Sunrise is so underrated. I find it easier to stay up than to wake up early but still I only see it very rarely.
05/20/2011
Im not a morning person, so I'm going to go with sunset. I think they tend to be prettier with more reds and orange.

I voted sunset because it's warm and beautiful and I think most people would find that very romantic.
But the sunrise is amazing
05/20/2011
I go with sunrise because it is generally more intimate. Not many people up, a quiet stillness, and the promise of they day yet to come. Beautiful. Hopeful.

This is very true. Personally, I prefer sunset because it's easier to do, but sunrise does win for intimacy.

06/23/2011
Yeah, but sometimes the day yet to come could also be a bad one. Best to have the day behind you and rest with your loved one. Besides, at sunset, you can stay and stargaze, too!

I would go with sunset. As others have said, I'm just not a morning person. Although, I can absolutely appreciate a nice sunrise on the very rise occasions I'm actually up for one.
06/25/2011
I love watching the sunset.....
06/26/2011
Sunset. I am definitely not a morning person.

Sunset always means the dawn of kinky & cuddle time in my mind, so I have to go with sunset.
07/14/2011
Sunset! I'm never awake for a sunrise unless I haven't been to bed and even the most gorgeous sunrise to tainted with squinty sleepy eyes
07/14/2011
I like both. They both have their whimsical qualities.
07/15/2011
Sunrise is too early in the morning. And usually not as colorful.
It does tend to have birdsong, though.

Sunsets, so beautiful when the sun goes down.
09/15/2011
Sunset. I'm way too grumpy at sunrise!
09/15/2011
I've been working during both all week this week... and I definitely am preferring the sunrises! Means I can relax for a few hours.

Sunrise is cool if you've been up all night and are just falling asleep. Otherwise and in all other circumstances: Sunsets. Definitely sunsets.
09/16/2011
I am not a morning person, unless I am still up from the night before.
09/17/2011
A sunrise isn't romantic cause both of us would be completely asleep and miserable from waking up so early.
09/17/2011
sunset I hate the mornings
09/17/2011
I would have to be awake for a sunrise...that's the issue there.
09/17/2011
I'd probably like sunrises except most times I am not awake for them lol

Sunrise. I never thought I would be that way, but getting up super early every morning to beat traffic has me looking forward to the day break.
10/23/2012
Sunset! Then you can have fun in the dark after watching the sunset!
10/24/2012
I'd say it really depends on the setting and the color of the sky.
10/24/2012
I wake up after the sun! But sunrise is probably super special because of that.
10/24/2012
I get to see the sun set far more often than not, a sunrise is a treat, but I do prefer the sun setting.
10/24/2012
Cat E.
Definitely sunset.
10/24/2012
Sunset...I'm too tired to get up for sunrise
10/24/2012

I'm not a morning person, but sunsets make me a little sad. Sunrises feel more hopeful.

Sunset makes me think of wine, dinner, and sex. Sunrise makes me think of going back to sleep.

i was goind to say sunset...knee-jerk reaction. but, sunsets never really did anything for me. sunrise, on the other hand, means you just spent the entire night together...perhaps up talking until the sun came up. i do remember the few times that has happened, and it was far more special than any sunset.
