I tend to sport short hair all year long, but the urge to pull out the buzz clippers and go even shorter certainly comes up for me in the summer. That being said, do you tend to change your preference for your hair's length in the summer? Why?
Summer haircut preference?

Nope, I like my hair the way it is

I've been growing my hair out for 5 years (tailbone lenght right now) but I want it to my knees, so I constantly want it longer..

My hair's pretty short, barely past my ears, but when it's 100+ degrees, I definitely fantasize about buzzing it all off sometimes.

I prefer my hair shorter for the summer.

Mine is always long, and though it would be better to have it just a little shorter my Baby doesn't want me to do anything with it, so I let it grow on...

I keep my hair pretty long. I tend to trim it and thin it out a little for summer months but I havent gotten around to it yet this summer. My partner is happy about that. He never wants me to cut it. It's definitely a lot hotter with all that hair though.

I also have short hair all year round, but i get the shortest possible cut i can in summer - that still has a bit of length on the top

No, I've had long hair all my life and I'm too scared to cut it. The shortest I had it was slightly above my shoulders and I cried for about 3 days straight (pathetic, I know). I just feel like I look better with it long. If I get hot I put it up. Plus, my fiance LOVES my hair. He is always playing with it and loves how long it is. It is long and pretty but OMG it is SO heavy, and there is SO much of it. I can never style it because it's fine and won't hold a curl or anything for more than a couple hours and that is with a ton of hair products, which I hate.

I just keep mine growing until it's around hip length, and then I chop it all off up to a bit below my chin, donate the cut off portion to locks of love, and proceed to get the remaining hair layered so it looks cuter while it grows back out.
I figure if I'm going to get it cut it may as well benefit someone that needs it since I won't be needing it myself anymore once it's snipped off.

I don't get my hair cut short specifically for the summer. I occasionally will have it cut short randomly throughout the year. I did get it cut short a few weeks ago, but only because I felt like I wanted to do something different.

I can't this year because I'm growing my hair out for Locks Of Love, so this summer, I will suffer so that Cancer victims will have hair.

I just keep mine up in a ponytail or bun I'm not going to cut it.

Where I live it is very hot and humid!!! I hear some women talk about getting a summer cut, meaning something shorter. But I tried this a couple of times and I don't like it. When my hair is shorter it feels hotter to me. When it is longer I can put it up in a pony tail or twist it up with a clip. Then there is no hair touching my neck or back, but when it is shorter it is always touching and sticking to my sweaty neck.

I want it shorter, but I resist the urge because the rest of the year I want to grow it out. 4 summers and counting on having willpower!
07/03/2012
I cut it shorter, but that just means shoulder-length.
07/03/2012
I've tried to cut my hair shorter and it makes my face look rounder! I keep my hair long always.

I always wear my hair long. I don't like the way I look with short hair, and I haven't had short hair since freshman year in High School. (That was a long time ago.)
When I was pregnant with my last baby we were having a hot summer, I did take a few inches off. Most because I wear it up when it's hot out, and the weight of the pony tail was giving me more headaches.

Up until about a year ago, my hair has always been somewhere between my shoulder blades and my waist. Over the course of the last year, I've gone for shoulder, and two weeks ago, I took it to, like... mid-neck. I have a feeling that before summer is out, it'll be chin length. I never in my life imagined I'd be OK with this I am heavy, my face is round... but people seem to love the 'do.

My hair is long, but we shave the back half (from about the nape of the neck to just below my ears). This way, it's a lot cooler in the summer if I want to put my hair in a pony tail, but I could always leave my hair down if I was going to something formal.

I tend to get it cut shorter, in the interest of having it be low-maintenance
07/03/2012
Right now I am letting my hair grow out from a bob that I sported for a couple years. Now I am ready for long hair again.
07/03/2012
I keep mine the same all year.

I keep it long in summer to make a good pony tail and keep it out of the way and off my neck. Also, great way to get rid of flies, wave it like a horse's tail
07/03/2012
Last year I cut it all off, my hair was literally an inch long. So this year I'm growing it out
07/03/2012
I have let mine grow out for two years so that it will be long enough to put up in a pony tail while I am in Haiti..then when I come back, I want something done to it...just not sure what!!!!
