I work as a server at a fairly popular chain restaurant that shall not be named. I hate it, and I an actively looking for a new job so I can be done with that place forever. It's very high stress, and sometimes very low reward. While most of the customers that come in to eat are wonderful, it is very rare for a shift to go by without someone coming in who delights in taking out their daily frustrations on their server or run me to death and don't bother to tip. And half the time I end up doing all my work then picking up the slack of my lazy coworkers. All while the managers act like assholes, and give more hours to the lazy "favorites" who can't do their job and leave me and some of the other better workers with a few days a week. I've been there four years and I can't wait to get out of there.

I'm a server as well and I'm stressed, though not for the same reasons. The restaurant I work in is a mom and pop, and I'm grateful that our clientele is generally better than most, and I am the only one who works 5 days a week-every night we're open. HOWEVER, some of my co-workers are assholes.
And I mean that in the nicest way. Ha. If not for them, I would love everything about my job.
