I seriously need to get my bedroom in order. We could definitely use a bigger dresser in our room, but we lack the space to put one in there. We have a taller dresser with four large/deep drawers bu I want something that is shorter, but wider, and yet we have no where to put it. Right now, our closet is HUGE and could easily store all of our clothing, BUT we have so many totes and boxes stored in there (no storage space for the apartment we rent) so its already a pain in the arse to get in and out of the closet without making a huge mess. So I was wondering, do you normally hang your clothing or store them ina dresser? Do you have other means of storage for your clothing? If so, leave a comment! Help me decide which is best!

I do a combo of both. Could you use some kind of under the bed storage for the clothes that you don't use much? (Special occasion dresses, heavy winter coats, etc.)

I hang blouses, coats, hoodies, and pants. I roll my t-shirts and put them in a drawer. I also store shorts and sweaters in drawers.

I've got some shelves and when I'm motivated my clothes go on them, but otherwise they usually stay folded in the basket til I wear them :x

I use both but recently I have a stack of things that need to be put away and I'm too lazy and I need to clean out some drawers to make room and I just don't even want to go there yet =/.

I use both hangers and drawers, but I'm running out of space, myself.

I use hangers and for my pants I have hanging shelves...my room is small so it saves space since I don't have a dresser.

I put things like socks, underwear, t-shirts, jeans, and pajamas in my dresser. I hang pretty much every other piece of clothing up. I prefer hanging things up because they don't get wrinkly or any creases that way. Clothing on hangers is easier to look through, too.

Most things are hung up in my closet, others are in my dressers.

I was just thinking the same thing today truly my closes are everywhere including my dinning room table

I prefer a closet so I can look see all my clothes and nothing gets forgotten at the bottom of the drawer. but I do hate putting my clothes away in the closet that's a pain in the ass!

I use a dresser, a closet and for things that are out of season large totes that I store in the garage.

Mostly hangers, but my closet is pretty small here, so I have to use a whole bunch of drawers, as well.

I hand most of my clothes. But I do fold some of them, like bed clothes.

Hangers, and then use a dresser for overflow.

I always have the intention of putting clothes in dressers and hanging them up, but always end up staying in baskets until I wear them. I'm the most disorganized person on the planet.

I have the same problem you have. I live in a one bedroom apartment that is hardly big enough for me and my clothes. My boyfriend moved in a couple years ago and I am still trying to find other places to keep my clothes.
I have had to box up my off-season clothes and keep them at my dads house and switch when I need to.
I have one of those stand alone clothing stands to hang my clothes on. It has shelves too. I also have 2 dressers.
We still needed more space since have a hot water tank in our closet... Theres a space in the wall...I have no idea what it was supposed to be but I set up a bunch of cheap wood shelves in there and I have those stuffed with folded up tops and pants. Thank God for those shelves!

At Home Depot, you can purchase storage pieces that are beautiful and reasonable. You can customize them to fit your fancy! My closet looks professionally done and it only ran me around $150.

I don't currently have a dresser so everything either goes in the closet or the laundry basket sadly.

I have drawers and I use a closet.
04/17/2012
Hangers for dresses that can't get wrinkled and then dresser for everything else.
04/17/2012
most of my clothes are on hangers

I hang up everything. We have two separate closets (mine is bigger of course) so there is plenty of space. In each closet we have a hanging rack for shorts, and a small rolling thing for socks and underwear.

I hang up dresses, skirts, jackets, cardigans, and certain tops. I fold everything else in drawers.

we use dressers and hangers. The hangers are usually reserved for the 'nicer' clothes...though.

I have my clothes hanging up in dressers. They are everywhere and I still don't have enough room for them.

I have a large closet that I hang dresses, jeans, tank tops, tees, and jackets in. I have a dresser and chester drawer that I store my shorts, nightgowns, lingerie, socks, bras, panties, scarfs/gloves/hats in.

I have on hanger, one dresser and one small wardrobe.
In my mother's room, there are two wardrobes and an hanger. I often store some of my clothes there and steal her some of her clothes, which I then won't wear because these don't fit me :/ so its as if I stocked these for her, I guess. Accessories and jewelry are sprayed accross the room.

Our apartment has a massive walk in closet that I am planning on converting into pre-packed storage(to make moving easier and we'll only have to pack half the apartment). We have some clothing hanging, some in the dressers, but due to my laziness as well as his, we mostly wear stuff from the drier and take it back off into the washer.

we have 2 dressers and a walk in closet to store our clothes in.
