Has anyone stayed in a "Fantasy Hotel"?

I thinking about at the Don Q Inn, its more for amusement, being silly and getting away. I know there are other reasons people visit these places.
Have you ever been? What are your reasons? Do you think its worth the price tag to stay at these hotels?

I've never been cuz I'm poor (& usually single) but they sound very fun. I would definitely go to one of the Japanese ones.

Thanks for replying. I am thinkin about doing a space themed one. As long as there is a place to hike, a hot tub and a place to eat, I am set

We have one near us that we looked at - though not seriously! for our honeymoon. The different themed rooms were... unique, but the one that made us run screaming was the one that was completely covered in red velvet. Walls, ceiling, drapes, everything. It was horrifying.

Even so, for a fun/silly getaway, it'd be worth it. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun and laughs.

LMAO that so funny! Up in Door COunty (a tourist place for hikers in the "finger" of wisconsin) is littered with Bed and Breakfasts. They have this reoccuring theme in almost all of them of over the top Victorian themes. Its just this gwady lace and huge flowers everywhere. I get dizzy just looking at the walls.
Yeah I am thinking space room : D THey have a dugeon but I am a little to scared of that!
