I like staycations, in general... except that I currently live with in-laws and I hate them.

I like to have a day or two off but if its a week why not travel it's always fun well depending on who your with. lol

I usually do staycations.. It'd be nice to actually go somewhere lol

I really like staycations, since it takes out the stress of traveling and saves on money. As long as I can get out a bit and maybe eat some good meals and/or hang out with friends I am pretty happy to just stay home.
Which is not to say that I don't like traveling, which can also be a lot of fun, but I really do like just hanging around the house.

with a 8 month old son and work and a puppy a vacation sounds like the best thing in the world.

Both! I like to stay in and relax but going on an adventure is always great fun : )

I guess we're halfway between having "staycations" and "vacations" since a weekend at a different beach only takes about an hour's drive and we've got a home on wheels (a mini RV)

I love to save money, but I love to get away more!

Stay home and relax and maybe get some stuff done.

Sometimes, you just need to get away from your job, your home, and your city, and go somewhere...anywhere! I vote for vacation...

If I'm on a staycation it becomes a workcation. I have to leave to relax.

Definitely vacation. I spend enough time at home already, it drives me crazy.

sometimes it is nice to stay home and relax, but I still like going and seeing the world and enjoying life.

I would rather go out and have an adventure!

It really depends. What kind of vacation will I get? Where to?

I voted vacation because I'd love to go on one, but haven't for years because I haven't been able to afford it.
01/07/2012
Definitely getting away from home, even if it's a short weekend get away somewhere close, is a must, at least once every 6 months.

I love to take vacations, but usually end up with a staycation since it's easier, and a lot cheaper (even if I DID end up going to the spa and whatnot.)

vacation

Obviously, if I needed the money I'd not spend it on a vaca, so if I was wanting to go on a vaca, I could afford it and would just go

It depends.
I love vacations, but they can get so expensive -- and sometimes they cause more financial worries for me. Even now, I'm planning my first vacation out of the country, and I'm nearly having panic attacks over it (though I KNOW that I can afford it without trouble).

It depends for me as well. It's nice to go out and have a "real" vacation, but they really can get pretty expensive. For now we mostly do little staycations here and there. One day we'll cash in the credit card points for another nice vacation.

The only trips I've ever been on was while in high school to specific educational areas (Washington DC) spacecamp in Alabama, and Coca Cola Museum in Georgia. I'd like to take an adult vacation once not that I'll ever be able to afford it.
