After the death of my husband I realized there is a very limited time for all of us here on earth. I started my bucket list--the top 10 things I want to experience before I die.

That is a deep topic. Again, sorry for your loss. It does make one consider life, and mortality.
We do have our own bucket list, but after serious soul searching, we scrapped it and started over, with some well thought out caveats.
Our list doesn't matter. YOURS does.
Our suggestions to you are as follows....
1. Make the list not of "crazy things" (go to the moon), but of things that are "do-able" in this time and with the resources you have (financial, time, health...etc). If you are 89, in a wheelchair, use oxygen and have a minimum wage job saying adding "climb Mount Everest" to you list is wishful thinking...not a real "bucket list". However, that same person MIGHT say "see the Grand Canyon" or "Niagara Falls".
A young, healthy, extreme sport person, however, may well decide to "climb Everst". In short, keep your "list" real to your situation.
2. Add those things really "in your heart". Don't say "see the Eiffel Tower" just because everyone adds it to their list. If you are a total freak about Star Trek, maybe your "list" could include visiting William Shatners horse farm, or doing the Vagas hotel that features Star Trek. Know what we mean? Keep true to YOUR dreams and interests...not the "general list".
3. This is the hard one. As Nike says..."Just DO IT". Put something on your list and then add a DATE. Not in the far future, but in the real, NEAR term. Call the place. Start planning and GO. Do it. See it. Live it.
That is the way you make a bucket list and actually "fill it".
Our best to you.
