i feel myself hunting when in public sometimes. i don't know if any other men have this feeling. i am married, but there is still something of a hunter in me. panther. i stalk like a panther. black, sleek, quiet, hidden...dangerous.

I went to a psychic fair once and they told me my spirit animal was a dolphin. I'm not really sure how they came to that conclusion though.

I've always had an affinity and ridiculous love / interest in snakes.

When I was a child my mom tells me I would try to pick snakes up when outside, and try to bring them inside. I've begged to be allowed to keep one for years and years and years but both my parents are quite adamant about reptiles of the snake variety in their home.

So I would say the Snake definitely.

I've loved horses for years as well... but it was just never quite the same - and doesn't still persist. I think they are beautiful creatures but... not the same.

I would imagine my personality would be matched most by something like a mouse or a small bird, as I'm a bit timid. In spite of these choices, I do love cats. Perhaps I'm more like a turtle or a bivalve, because I retreat into a "shell" often. Snail? I don't know.

I wondered about such things quite a bit after reading the His Dark Materials trilogy, with its daemons.

Just as a heads-up, using the term "spirit animal" can be offensive and culturally appropriative.

Always had a strong rapport with them - even the cats that don't like strangers come up to me and demand attention. My boyfriend watched me interact with his cat and commented, "You both speak the same language, you know." His cat Blue didn't like his last couple of girlfriends (it usually involved Death-from-Above), but Blue has highly approved of my presence.

My familiars have always been cats, too.
