I believe some of the people elected into office are using to support themselves for when they get voted/term limited out.
Did you hear about one of the top members of the FCC who approved the relaxing of FCC regulations to allow for more consolidated ownership? She got a job with the company she just voted to relax laws on. Viacom? Paramount? Comcast? One of them.
How many people from Goldman-Sachs work(ed) in the FTC or Treasury?

I think they've stopped listening to the little guy and focus on corporate interests.
Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the pot! Government isn't any different and they've taken fraud and extortion to new extremes.
