I care about the accuracy and portrayal of science. This goes both ways. I care about accurate science and research going to people who need it. I care about what happens when charlatans try and use their pseudo-science or outward BS. And then there's the egomania that is the scientific community. If they can shrink the size of their head a bit, science would progress more.

Veterans - especially those with mental trauma from PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder)...and rape victims (which tends to go hand in hand in many cases sadly, I being one of them)

I care about a lot of things, abuse of any type, the care veterans are unable to get which gets me quite upset, victims of ANY abuse.

Not money so much...or the economy or politics.

I care deeply about ignorance and the shabby state of education. The money is there, it's just being spent so stupidly, on useless frippery and on administration, rather than on good teachers and good texts. We also need to root out the culture that glamorizes ignorance and failure with all possible hostility and replace it with one that glamorizes success, learning, and intelligence.

Wow, these are some thoughtful responses! Thanks for taking the time to answer discussions that are less frivolous than, as Woman China described, "Which sock color do you like better white or off white?" I think there is a place for silly discussions, but I try to aim for some balance.
