When I was in middle school in the late 80's, occasionally the school would take us to the skating rink after school for a few hours, kind of like a field trip. Did you have that at your school? I've always though it was a weird thing to do.

I never did this in school, but we had an 8th grade party at the end of the year where we got to go ice skating during school hours.

HAHA Me too! Only, I was born in 1990 and this was in middle school when I was about 13. Man, we loved those crazy skating trips! Lol.

Our middle school did this every single year halfway through finals since they lasted about a week as a way to let the students wind down from the stress of the testing. It was awesome! x3
Other than middle school though, I don't think any of my schools did something like that.

We never had field trips there. Lots of kids had parties there though. I broke my wrist at one of them.

Yeah I recall doing that in middle school.. I also recall them taking us to the Heath bar factory, now that was a trip. I wanted to dive into the big vats of chocolate...

Oh man, flashbacks! That was the greatest part of growing up in my home town. We all went to the rink every weekend. It was a blast. Meet many a girlfriend there, and a whole lot of fighting in the parking lot over said girlfriends. Ohhhh, the 90's were a blast.

I went with the other kids in my "church group" back in the mid-late 80's. Never did that in relation to school, although I sometimes went with a small group of friends in the early 90's, mainly as an excuse for them to show off the work they did on my normally straight and plain hair (if anyone remembers those stone-still hair puffs our bangs were teased into ... yeah).
