It's funny cause I've always been the worst at all sports. I alway got picked last for every team at PE. But I took to skating fairly quickly. I can only do it in one direction and turns are still a bitch (even after all these years) but it's still million times better than my basket or volleyball skills. This, swimming and biking are the only sports I enjoy.

I've only gone three times. I can skate without falling often or just hanging onto the wall. I don't know if that counts as knowing how to skate. I can't skate backwards or do fancy turns or anything though.

the first time i ever stepped on the ice, i took about 10 sec to see how balancing worked, then i was off. took to it instantly. i'm not amazing or anything, but i can skate. i've only ever ice skated twice in my life, though.

I do. I used to do speed inline skating, actually, and am pretty good with speed ice skating. I wanted to get into figure skating but decided to not.

i started with a pair of hockey skates when i was like 4 or 5...it is awesome, i just wish i lived somewhere now when i could get out on a pond and skate more
