I'm not going to get too political here, but I am gonna give my two cents because it's something I feel strongly about. If you know anything about "pot culture," you know that 420 is a marijuana reference, and alas, I am Jesibel420.. I'm sure you understand my feelings toward marijuana now.
However, even if I didn't smoke, I would still support decriminalization of marijuana for many reasons. Alcohol is legal for those over 21 years old. If you drink and drive, you pay the price. IMO, alcohol has MUCH worse effects than pot. I've never thrown up from being high. I've never gotten so high I thought having sex with a random stranger was a good idea. I don't drive, but my boyfriend has never gotten high and thought he was capable of driving, but really wasn't, and got into an accident. If you can make the choice to drink alcohol as an adult, why not be able to smoke marijuana?
There has been tons of medical research, and weed cannot kill you. The only possible way is to smoke so much that you suffocate, and you would have to smoke more than is even humanly possible, in a ridiculously short amount of time, to do so.
Also, if marijuana were decriminalized, taxed, and regulated by the government, the country would gain so much tax revenue that the economy would no longer be in turmoil. It can create countless jobs if it is no longer illegal. LEGIT jobs, that pay legit wages.
I hope I haven't offended anyone, but I really think it's time for America to get over it and legalize or decriminalize. Since when is feeling happy and relaxed a crime?

I have a very strong opinion about this. I also run Club420 on myspace.

I agree whole heartedly and love your eloquence! Your well spoken consideration will do so much to help the cause! In order to change people's perceptions of marijuana, we need to change their perceptions of users. We're not bad lazy people leeching on society. We are normal contributing citizens. We just have our own way of relieving stress and think we shouldn't be punished for it.

Woah, ever notice how a rabbit vibe is kinda shaped like a bong? I guess great minds do think alike.

I think it ought to be legalized. The repercussions of it is no more than what booze is.

In my state, at least, it was sort of legalized, but has the insane stipulations on it that booze does. (except pot leaves the system slower and all so you probably should never drive if you do pot at all.)

Should be decriminalized

I am not going to go much into this because I rant and rave about it. Its a touchy subject for me. I am a NORML member and i write to our senators once a month about decriminalizing it. Nothing wrong with it. I bought a vaporizer and if you use it that way, I'm pretty sure there are no health side effects - no smoke.
