I have been debating for years, yes years on wether or not I want to pierce my nipples. So I figure why not get more opinions on the pros and cons of it? Please vote yes or no and then tell me why you picked it and if you have yours pierced what are the pros and cons of it? Some people have told me it heightens their sensitivity some say it takes away so now I'm just looking for more opinions. I wasn't sure what category to put this in and this seemed the best.
Should I pierce my nipples?

This is one of those things where you really have to decide for yourself. There could be any number of complications from infections to rejection of the piercings. Most of the women I know who have had it done end up removing them later either due to pregnancy or just because they no longer care for the look.
It's such a personal decision and it really shouldn't be decided by internet strangers -- I'd say if you're that uncertain about it to post a poll here that you probably shouldn't do it.

Thanks for the comment. My choice won't be affected much by this question it was just a curiosity thing because I know all the pros and cons of piercing them. I was really just hoping to get the opinion of those who have theirs done to see if its worth it even if only kept for a short time since I do hope to have children one day and would remove them for that.

I'd suggest trying piercing one - then decide to remove it - or go for both - or just keep one pierced.

eeehhhh*grabs boobs* that freaks me out just thinking about it. But it's your body and you should do what you want, so if it makes you happy go for it. But i would say definitely do both if you are going to do it. Honestly one just seems, weird lol.

Just piercing one is a guy thing, for a girl to do it would just be out of the norm and look wonky.

Where are you getting this norm? I know various women who have only one nipple pierced.

I am not putting it down but I never saw the point of it. You cant even see it often so it's not really good for looks.

My best friend has them done she told me it only hurt for a week. She is also thinking about taking them out.

ouchhhhhhh!!!!! seems getting dressed or undressed, even taking a shower would offer opportunity for the pieces to rip a nipple. ouch!!!

How often do people snag an earring and rip an earlobe?

I've been wanting to for a while but I'm scared I will have complications.

I've had a lot of people tell me that you can actually lose sensitivity in your nipples if you get them pierced, which is a higher risk if the piercer isn't extremely good at what they're doing.

I've known several people who have either had an earring rip out or who have had hoops catch too many times on phones and the like that it has permanently stretched the earring hole.

I apologize if this sounds...bad..., but I'll at least be honest about it as a data point on the male visual perspective (which isn't exactly what you were asking for, but...). Nipple rings on attractive women with nice breasts accentuate. The opposite for the opposite case. In general, I like them. Of course, I also like when I can see them through a shirt, but that's just the other brain talking.

I've been thinking of haveing mine done as well, just make sure you research your piercer!

I'd honestly say that you should evaluate your own feelings, keeping in mind that piercings usually heal up just fine if you leave the jewelry out long enough so it doesn't really have to be permanent.
Personally, I love the aesthetics of nipple piercings and wanted very much to get mine done until I asked my S.O what he thought.
That kinda put the kibosh on it for now, but we can always reevaluate our feelings later. n_n

I'd say no and don't do it however this is your body and you call the shots as to what happens to your body. If my partner were to get the piercing of the nipples, I'd be against it but would have to live with it if that was their choice to do it.
Has anyone ever gone through airport security with nipple piercings or any other sensitive body part pierced? Did it call for any additional screening?

I agree that just one looks a little strange. I feel bad about it now, but a couple years ago my buddy and I saw a woman in public with one nipple pierced and no bra and we called "padiddle" (like the road game) because it was so obvious. It didn't look *bad* but it was definitely weird. I don't really have a strong opinion in either direction for the OP.

I'm a guy without pierced nipples and said you should. But, I love the hell out of piercings so I may be a bit biased haha
