I get UPS because I live in Canada and it's the only option available.

I usually use USPS because it tends to get here a day or so faster.

I also use USPS for the reasons already mentioned - it's faster and comes earlier in the day.

USPS because they come to my house earlier than UPS and deliver on saturdays (at least for now, haha)

USPS has horrible tracking. UPS gives you detailed tracking and they don't screw around with my package. USPS has missent mine a few times and I've had a huge delay in the times. They will also leave mine at my door and not even knock.

I almost always choose USPS for the reason JR stated above: to keep the USPS in business. Though, I ordered a book once and selected USPS and it was shipped via UPS. And any of the Liberator stuff I order goes through UPS and delivered to a work address.

LOL I have exactly the opposite experience.

UPS never knocks on my door when they deliver packages. I just hear him drop it, kick it with his foot and prop it against the door then walk away. I always startle the driver as I open the door and he gives a half-assed wave. My postman, on the other hand, has been trained well. If I get more than one package, then I get more than one mail slot at the bottom instead of him dropping them off at the leasing office. Of course, I had to meet him at the mail center several times before I was able to make this happen. I think he figured it out after the third or fourth time I went down there. LOL

Is it silly of me that that is the exact reason why I choose USPS? With all of the talk about shutting it down completely, I feel it's my duty to have them deliver my sex toys hehehe.

It's a toss up for me at this point. I almost always pick USPS from here because I almost always have something that will get me free shipping. But UPS gets to my house a lot earlier in the day than USPS and the last time I trusted USPS to get something to me on a deadline, they failed and the box with the pasties I needed for my tattoo showed up 10 minutes after I left to get my tattoo while wearing the smaller test patches from another set I had.

I go with USPS because it is free in most cases. It works for me, and my mail is more secure than UPS. The UPS leaves it on the front porch, the mail is left in a locked box.

I use USPS because it comes earlier in the day when everyone is at work. I go home at lunch to stash it in my room before my roommates get home.

UPS sent it to the wrong address. Never using them again for ANYTHING.

UPS, my normal mailmen (I have 2 who switch up) have a bad habbit of loosing my mail. But my UPS man is dependable and funny and UPS gets to me faster than regular USPS does.

USPS is faster for me with standard delivery, but if I'm in a hurry for the item, I'll go with one of the UPS expedited methods.
