So I have been pondering on the term "sex positive" lately. I feel like it is a term that is constantly thrown about in the sex blogget/toy reviewer community (and right here on EF!). I also feel like as soon as someone reads something that a fellow member (or someone else in the community) writes/says/publishes/ whatever that they don't agree with that they are labeled as NOT sex positive (or sex negative). It made me think about what exactly is your definition of sex positivity.

There has been some great blogs that I've read about it, there is also an article over on SexIs about sex positivity. It is a buzzword these days that people can't help but mention. So, what is sex positivity to you?

Alright, so I figured I'd answer my own discussion (but I didn't want to taint the OP so I decided to answer separately).

I think sex positivity is accepting everyone and their sexual habits. Not passing judgment and realizing that as long as everything is consensual that that is what is good for them. It doesn't need to be what I am into, as long as I can keep an open mind and am willing to learn and not put others down.

I think it's an appreciation and acceptance of one's own sexual desires, preferences, and practices as well as holding off judgement on others' as well as understanding that sex in general is natural and healthy and refusing to be a part of the shame that society associates with it.
