If so, what did they do to you? I have no cuts on the outside of my nose and had a splint.
When did your bleeding stop?
Septoplasty is done using a lot of spoon shaped instruments, all introduced into the nose. You shouldn't have any external cuts at all, in most cases. The amount of bleeding depends both on the clotting ability of the patient and the actual amount of tissue "cut" on the inside to access the nasal septum sub-structure. Huge difference from patient to patient. Also, because of differences in where the problem is, in the nose, to how severe it is, recovery can be very different from one person to the next. Some have black eyes and cheek swelling and discoloration. Other people have almost nothing after sinus surgery.
