Sales Tax Holidays

Have you heard of the state sales tax holidays? Basically, you get a break on paying taxes on certain items up to a certain amount for a few days. Unfortunately only a few states are doing it. For the most part it looks like breaks on items that could be used for back to school.

Here's the link to the state list

I wish my state was doing it . Instead I see we are getting another increase in sales tax on gasoline.

Those weekends are a nightmare here. And half the time I didn't have a supply list by the tax-free dates.

They offer it here, but it's always AFTER school starts. Makes no sense!

Texas has always had that, but I avoid shopping during that weekend because it's so crazy busy everywhere. I'm already slightly claustrophobic but I really can't stand those kinds of crowds.

Maryland has at least 2 (didn't check the list yet) but then each city has an option to do individual city-wide sales, which they take advantage of a few times a year, and my city does it often.
