Depends what I am repainting and how much is being painted.

I hate painting, but I will do the interior myself, exterior is another story, there is a lot more prep work, and without ladders scaffolding and safety gear it is better to hire it out for me.

I do all my own work around my house. I have the tools to do it all, and if I dont I buy them. Alot cheaper then hiring someone, and the work is not that hard if you are good with your hands.

I have yet to hire someone to paint for me, it is fairly easy to do and I save a ton of money to spend on more improvements.

Also, do any edge taping before the slave labor arrives. Free-labor is notoriously bad at straight edges.

Do it myself or with family/friends. With the right tools, it's not too hard

I'd have a blast painting it myself, why hire someone to have all the fun for me? xD
Nah...I'd grab myself a brush and roller and go to town with all sorts of pretty colored paint. ^_^
