I was just wondering if there were any other women out there that have the same problem that I do. That's right, that unwanted mustache that makes you feel even less sexy than when your bloated on your period w/ horrible gas. While my upper lip hair has never been super noticeable, it's still there & constantly bothers me. In fact, it is just bad enough that I can't wear bright red lipstick b/c it makes it stand out. I've never done anything about it b/c I'm not really sure what to do. I don't wax it b/c I'm afraid that it will grow back thicker, & it's not really something that I would like to try to keep up. I don't bleach it b/c, while it would make it less noticeable, it would still be there. I haven't gotten it lasered off b/c, well, I just flat out can't afford to. Not to mention the horror stories I've heard & seen about how people get burned by the lasers b/c the doc doesn't know to use a different laser for each skin type. I've thought about using something like Nair, but does that really work? So, I ask, what is the most effective way to get rid of it? Should I start waxing, bleach it, or just suck it up & save up to get it lasered off? What say you Eden Community?

I usually just shave my upper lip every few days or so, but mine's only noticeable because I've got really dark hair.

As for waxing...I can't tell you since I've never done it, but I notice when I yank my leg hair out with tweezers (root and all so it's pretty much like waxing, I suppose), it seems to be growing back thinner than before.
This page seems to confirm that waxing wouldn't make it any worse though.

I use an Epilator. All you need to do is run it over your upper lips for 2 to 3 seconds every few days. It doesn't sting much, does a great job, and except for a few tiny loose facial hair, there's no mess to deal with.

I have it too, but have never done anything to it. All women have hair on their faces. Mine is very light and thin and I would rather keep it that way that have to worry about upkeep or it coming in darker somehow.

I never had to remove hair from my face because it is really light.

never had this issue since I can't even see any hair on my face. if I did have this issue, I'd save & get the Laser treatment.

My hair is very light brown over my lip so I never noticed it until I got a facial. Taking the suggestion of Sherry at the salon I had my upper lips, chin and eyebrows waxed. Now I have them done once a month. I have not noticed my hair coming back thicker but notice how much smoother my make-up appears on my face. I do get an occasional hair on my chin but that's an easy do with the tweasers in between.
If you do get waxed, make sure its by someone who knows what their doing and does it quick. Besides its a nice pick me up once a month to get the facial along with waxing and on my bikini area too!

I get blond hair above my lip and the occasional darker one. Since I am fair-skinned, I think they are noticeable. People say they really aren't, but they bug me, so I just pluck the dark ones out and go about my business.
