relationship timebombs?

watching HIMYM and iy got me thinking about relationship time bombs. If one person wants something like getting married, or children and the other doesn't, do you think it can work? it seems like it would be a difficult to reconcile conundrum, as either way, one person forces the other to go against their desires. what other relationship time bombs are there?

In short, no. It won't work. Others are career - what if X gets a promotion, and has to move? Will Y go with? Will they resent it? etc.

Children are a big timebomb for a relationship--especial ly if the guy wants kids and the woman doesn't. Worse than that is guys wants kids, women doesn't and is up front about it, guy says nothing and tries to get woman pregnant on purpose.

One person having a lot of money that the other doesn't know about it another timebomb. So are differing sexual lifestyles. You can imagine the timebomb that goes off when one partner in a long-term relationship finds out that the other partner has a fetish well outside their comfort zone.
