What reactions do you have when watching sad and touching scenes on the screen? Are you indifferent, or would you shed tears? Will the reactions be different by gender?
How do you react to sad and touching scenes on the screen?

It depends on the movie, but I have been known to cry like a big ol' baby during certain movies!

I have shed some tears watching movies. I'm sensitive and want to stay that way ...

I full on sob and am not ashamed. I'm sensitive as hell.

Will you ladies react the same way when others are present? If I am sitting next to my husband, I'll pretend like nothing's happening even if I am shedding tear, feels kind of awkward since I don't cry easily.

It takes a lot for something like that to make me cry, but if I'm near my menstrual cycle, sad scenes will make me feel sad. There's been times I've watched something and almost cried and knew that must mean my period's nearing. Otherwise, I just feel sad and move on.

Every time I watch Titanic I cry like a baby. The movie would be over and I would still be crying.

Nah, though of course I'm not heartless either. My Baby cries her eyes off sometimes, and mostly whimpers and yowls for almost any romantic/touching scene.

It really depends on how attached I am to the characters. In the Descendants? I cried like the whole time because the characters were just so real! In a lot of more drama-filled movies where the characters just aren't as genuine I tend to not be so moved, simply because I really don't care about what's happening.

Nah, I'm generally hard to affect by films. I have cried a little during a few movies but very few!

sometimes....even infomercials get to me! There was this one about children who have cleft palate and I just lost it

Since having a baby, I find that I'm emotional. I cry over everything. I cry when someone cries all the time.

I am female and I will be moved, but it's more internal than external. I don't really cry during sad movies.
05/29/2012
I'm a crier. I have even cried during coffee or hallmark commercials.
05/29/2012
if they're good and i like them i cry. most sad scenes are poorly written though and therefore get no tears from me.
05/29/2012
It really depends, sometimes I'll shed a few tears, sometimes nothing and other times it's full on bawling (usually when I'm alone).
05/29/2012
It definitely depends on the movie (and my mood--some stories affect me more at certain times than at others). I've definitely teared up during movies, although not often.

Other- I am female and I will shed copious amounts of tears.
05/29/2012
I'm a male and I really don't get drawn in to movies like that.
05/29/2012
I don't do anything. I just keep watching the movie
06/29/2012
I don't cry at everything, but there are some movies that can really make me cry.
