it happens everywhere, part of human nature i think. I foind it strange how the stereotype is of only white peopple being racist, yet i find other races to be more prejudice and have more "race" only anything that whites

I once experienced being treated poorly due to being white. That was weird for me since I try to not judge anyone based on looks alone.

Everyday. I'm tired of confronting people so I just keep to myself.

I'm with you. I have found ever race to have prejudices against other people. It sucks, but I don't see it ever fully going away.

All races are capable of prejudice and bigotry.

BUT - racism is NOT the same thing as prejudice or bigotry. Racism involves the additional component of oppression, and to oppress, you must have power.

Thus, only the dominant race(s) in a society can practice true racism.

And yes, everywhere I've been in the US and the world, I've seen racism, as well as prejudice and bigotry. I've know lots of racist people personally and I'm SO glad I don't have to deal with them anymore.

My take on racism is that it's changing and evolving as time goes on, mostly for the better.

I have never encountered it personally but i think that it is so small minded and people should really evaluate these things before they decide to judge someone based on the color of their skin, or their religion, or anything of that nature

I haven't been subject to racism, but I've seen racists in action. There's a fair number of people I was friends with in high school whom I've distanced myself from due to their continuing racism. My current, post-college friends are pretty progressive.

sure. although...i have to say, as i think on it, it has been a good long time. this either means that it's getting better, or that i've begun to avoid places where i've experienced ignorant people in the past.

Yes. I've encountered racism in probably every form there is. More often than not, I have detected it in ways where the people doing it didn't even realize it! What's my take on it? I think it's an ugly way to be. Any kind of mistreatment is very ugly and I am not okay with it.
